Eden Place

Love this place!!!The staff and management are so caring thoughtful considerate and are there in every way for the people they are there to care forNothing but the BEST for my mom - she deserves it!!Not too many companies like thisthese days -Don't change a thing!!!

My mother lived at Eden Place for almost six years after she moved out of her own apartment. She chose Eden Place very carefully after investigating many different retirement homes in the area. She and her family were always happy with the choice that she made. She had a beautiful and comfortable suite with enough space for plenty of her own furniture. The food in the dining room was superb; I often ate there when I visited her. The staff and owners were fantastic and attentive. The place was always spotless and well decorated. Although she was in her 90's when she moved there, my mother enjoyed many of the activities and outings that were an integral part of the Eden Place program. There was always something to do and she found the company there compatible and friendly. Eden Place was small enough to be a family run business with great attention to detail. It really lived up to the promise that was expressed in its brochures. And finally, at the end, my mother didn't want to go to the hospital. Eden Place accommodated her wishes, increasing her nursing care and making it possible for her to pass away in her own bedroom, just as she wanted.

Enjoyed the staff and residents, but the owners were not good with staff. We werent allowed any breaks at all on a full 8 or 9 hour shift, and sometimes on overnights, there is only one staff on duty for a full building, and the husband of the owner would be there , but he would go sleep in a room. Neither of these things were ok...Not safe at all...also, there was no kitchen or housekeeping staff , the psws did everything.

I highly disagree with any of these bad comments. My aunt loves it there and has nothing but the best of care and treatment. the residents there all seem to be very happy.

Our experience with Eden Place has been wonderful and really feel comfortable they have been taking care of our mom so well, two thumbs up!

I've had the great pleasure of working here before I moved off to Ottawa for my other studies. The management treated me well and the residents are fantastic. At Eden Place it is a community. I get to work and participate in the community events such as the afternoon tea, painting, bingo and really connect with the residents and seeing the impact that I am creating through working there. As well, during our shifts we get a free meal and the chefs are fantastic. We are treated like family.

Photos are not up to date. Doesnt look like that know.Could use a hairdress, not sure what happened to the one there.Not as same as it was a couple yrs ago. Could use better upkeep in the rooms.

I love this happy home. My hubs and I went for a tour should we need respite care for my Mom when we are away. We are impressed with the friendliness, cleanliness, good price, and quality food. We would both be very happy to live in a community like this is our elder years.

thank you Eden Place for the wonderful care you gave my mother there. She just loved all the activities and card games especially. She was treated with the utmost kindness and gentleness. Her health care was first and foremost.

Pretty disappointed with the service" you guys got going there. Who calls the police after locking out your employee? English wasn't her first language and you have the audacity to watch her being locked out and taunting her through the window? Service is laughable at the utmost best. Oh and you forgot to pay her for 75 hours of work. And it's also illegal to not give employees breaks for their shifts (8 hours without even a 5 minute break) so you better fix that or the government will fix you down. As in I hope you close down! Will do everything possible to make sure you get what's deserved Eden!"
