Vivace Music

I would highly recommend Vivace Music. This is such a fantastic program. Initially, I was skeptical about having my five-year-old son learn piano virtually. After a few sessions, we couldn’t be happier with Ms. Joanne and her organization Vivace Music. My son is so engaged with the lessons because of the teachers. Their approach and connections with these young kids are outstanding. They continue to motivate my son, and he looks forward to his sessions every week. I am grateful that I can share this joy of music with my son. Thank you!

Joanne is an excellent piano teacher. My son Samuel started piano lessons with her in January this year and he has already progressed much further than I expected. Joanne understands children and how they learn music best. She brings out the best in her students. She is positive and patient with her students. I definitely recommend Vivace Music. I used to take piano lessons with Joanne from 2014 to 2018, and she helped me find my passion for piano. Before I met her, I switched from a few other piano teachers who taught me beginner songs and technical exercises, but I felt like there was something missing. Out of all the teachers I've had, Joanne is my favourite teacher. She has it all: she is patient, diligent, flexible, and kind to everyone. Most importantly, she is passionate about teaching. It's clear that she loves her work, and that enthusiasm is transferred onto the students. She inspired me to practice lots, and I enjoyed everything—even the RCM exams—that she taught me. I've been playing piano for over 8 years now, and I would've quit early on had I not met her.

I highly recommend Vivace Music. My daughter is 8 yrs and has been taking lessons from Joanne for 2 years (1 year in person, 1 year virtually). She makes music lessons fun by letting the kids choose songs they like, having incentives, and organizing multiple virtual recitals throughout the year. She is very cheerful, engaging, and positive during lessons. Joanne always provides positive feedback as well as giving her small attainable goals for each lesson and song so she can continue to improve.

We've been with Vivace for years and it has fostered my daughter's love for piano! Joanne is such a kind and supportive teacher who really cares about students' interests. She is always open to finding out what music my daughter listens to so she can learn to play some of the same songs.Joanne is really great about supporting each family's needs. Vivace offers recitals families who prefer the performance aspect. We're more laid back and just wanting our daughter to follow her passion. Joanne has accommodated that by encouraging her play by ear while still learning & playing sheet music as well.

Our 6 year old has been doing lessons with Vivace since August 2021 and has shown tremendous growth! The virtual format allows the lessons to easily fit into our busy schedule and she hasn’t needed to miss classes due to have a runny nose or Covid protocols. She loves her piano lessons and looks forward to them every week. I definitely recommend Vivace!

I really recommend Vivace Music. Joanne is very patient, kind and knows how to encourage your kids to continue practicing on their own. It's amazing how fast my son is progressing and stays very motivated every day. My son is always very comfortable talking about his interests and asking questions.I recently started taking classes with her and her team. Although I didn't know anything about music, I can now play songs that I thought would take years to learn. I'm just in love. I am so grateful for their patience and dedication they show in each class.

I’m so happy my daughter started piano lessons with Ms Joanne’s school. My daughter started during the pandemic and has been going strong since then. I can see her progress. My six year old daughter has been practicing piano for over two months only! I was a little concerned if it would work to learn piano online from zero! But for my surprise, with the end of the first CLASS, my daughter was already playing 5 songs! It was unbelievable! And from week to week she just went on improving and improving and feeling more passioned about music and piano!The school has a method of rewards for practicing in which really engages student! So it’s not uncommon to see my daughter practicing piano all by herself on her own will! And the more she practices, more confident she gets and more she gets into piano!!I see her playing two months only away from the beginning of the classes and I am truly impressed with the school methodology!mrs joanne is a dear and truly gets kids all ages to feel the music in their heart!

Joanne is a great piano teacher who really knows how to motivate and inspire young kids. We all know how hard it is to keep kids practicing, but Joanne seems to have the magic power to have her students committed, and happily so. I switched my daughter to Joanne (from another piano teacher) a few years ago, and very quickly I saw the positive change - my daughter was more passionate about practice and playing in general. Later I recommended Joanne to my friend, and her son has been with Joanne ever since.
