I do not recommend this place. Terrible customer service and communication.Stopped in on a Tuesday to change $1000.00 CAD into USD for a trip on Saturday. They didn't have anything but 100 USD bills. The teller asked me to deposit the money with them and to come back Friday because they will have smaller bills then. so I decided to do that.I realized that Friday is Rememberance Day and called to see if they were open. I spoke to three different people who couldn't tell me if they were going to be open. I decided to visit the location in person to get a straight answer. Still, no one in person could give me an answer as to if they were going to be open on Rememberance Day.I asked for my money back since no one was able to exchange it in the bills that I was told to come back Friday for. I was refused my money back. I was told that I signed a contract even though all I signed was a receipt saying that they were holding my money. When I turned the receipt around it indicated that they had to give me the correct currency within two business days. This exchange would have been well past two business days if i had to wait until Friday. I ended up just taking the 50-100 UDS bill and went on my way after being treated very poorly by their staff.The young man named Nick, working there was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was shrugging his shoulders the entire time and struggled to tell me his managers name. He also couldn't tell me when the manager would be in next.Over all the customer service and communication was terrible and very disappointing. the next day I recieved a very nice call from head office apologizing for the incident. They asked me to come back so they could properly change my bills for me. Igor from head office was a pleasure to deal with and Oksana who worked at the location was very kind when speaking with me about the incident.the issue has now been resolved.

I used Kantor Currency Exchange today on the recommendation of my father. Dad uses them all the time for USD and said they carry everything. I ordered ‎¥50,000 for a trip to Japan next spring. I was able to make the order and payment directly from my Scotiabank account online, then pickup in store. I received three different confirmation emails (received, processed, pickup) all in the same morning. If they didn't have the currency on scene, it would have taken about one day longer. This is my new and only foreign currency exchange place. I have a lot more yen to get between now and our vacation. Thanks Kantor!

Always provide the best possible rate in town. You can order any currency in any amount, just need to do it ahead of time. Professional and detailed oriented representatives. Convenient hours of operation. Understandable even for people with bad English. Provide services in English, Ukrainian and Serbian.

I would give it 5 stars but for the last two weeks, I have tried to exchange US to CAD and the outlet in Hamilton has consistently told me that they do not have enough CAD to provide the exchange.I will agree with other reviewers - Kantor does give the best rates but that doesn't matter if you cannot fulfill the exchange.

Been here a few time and always terrible service. Especially the one time with Iryna. She was extremely rude and very unprofessional. On top of that she and the other girl who works there doesn't even speak proper English. They tried lying to me with their broken English. Grate rate but not worth the headache.

Not impressed. Just went to buy $100 USD and he literally gave me a $100 dollar bill. When I asked for something smaller, he said no only $100 bills. When I went to pay with mastercard ( which there is no signage stating you don't take it) he said no. I had to ask if he took debit. I will pay the extra and go to my bank next time. This guy's attitude was not worth the cheaper rate.This was at the Hamilton branch on queenston.
