Northern Lights Cedar Tubs

Really wonderful hot tub. The smell of the cedar wood alone is worth it. The team at Northern Lights is very helpful and goes the extra mile to make sure building and setting up the tub is smooth and successful. One of my favorite purchaser for our home ever!

We are very pleased with the service and product we received from Northern Lights. Our sauna has been set up in our home for a year now and loving it. Great service helping pick out the right product and when we got the shipment of supplies to build our sauna it was very simple to put together. And now after a year we were very surprised to receive a gift of 2 bathrobes from Northern Lights thanking us for our business. Definitely a nice touch and would recommend them highly!!

Great service from this team. I needed a new heater and cover for my aging cedar tub - Christian took awesome care of me. Prompt responses to my emails - like minutes - with an excellent knowledge of the product line. These guys are for sure my go to" team for anything hot tub or sauna related."

I am not normally one to leave a review but this has been a total nightmare. They use third party shipping companies and they lost our hot tub. Then it arrived late with multiple parts missing. Still missing. So we cant even assemble it. It just doesn't seem like good business to hire out third parties and then expect your customers to track everything down?? It has also been VERY difficult to get in touch with Northern Lights customer service or get any help. Absolutely do not recommend. You would think there would be decent service when you spend over 10K on a hot tub that goes missing.

My Northern Lights Cedar Tub is the most valuable home improvement purchase I have ever made. It is gorgeous, smells wonderful, is basically maintenance/chemical free (I bought the ozonator) and is SOOOO enjoyable. Besides my bed, it is my favorite place in my house. The customer service/support/advice the guys give is top-notch and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

We had a great experience installing the cedar tub we purchased from Northern Lights. The tub arrived to NC in great condition, and when we had questions or issues come up during install, they were very responsive and knowledgeable about the product. I would absolutely recommend them as a preferred vendor when looking for a cedar tub.

The customer service is great but it's been a headache since purchasing this hot tub. It's not a plug and play. After getting it set up, the tub was emptying. We found that the ionizer plumbing fitting was defective and half the plumbing needed to be replaced after a couple of weeks of getting it set up. 6 months in and the hot tub kept reading errors. 11 months in and the heater stopped working. Now the company is only offering 20% off of a new spa pack after spending 6k on the hot tub plus install. A hot tub is to relieve stress...not add stress...Really think hard if you want to purchase this hot tub.

We’ve had a difficult experience thus far. The company advertised this as easy assembly & it is far from it. We’ve spent hours & thousands of dollars trying to get this set up exactly to their specifications & the plumbing is still leaking in multiple places. The hot tub is beautiful, but we wish we had gone another route for our tub. The company failed to send all of the necessary equipment & we had to call them & wait a week for the additional equipment to arrive to try to complete the assembly. & the part they sent us was incomplete for an adequate seal on the pipe so we had to make a trip to Home Depot to find the right part to ensure a good seal. Some parts are still backordered (ie hot tub cover) & we were never informed they were back ordered until we unloaded everything & started the project & realized we were missing major parts of our order. Another part arrived damaged & we requested a replacement & were told it would ship to us but it still has not shipped. DO NOT BUY unless you are an expert builder, plumber, & electrician & have a lot of free time on your hands or are willing to hire for the assembly. Our biggest frustration is that we hired professionals to put it together for us, but their time was wasted with missing parts & instructions that are difficult to interpret. We also feel the seals provided for the plumbing (or lack thereof) are inadequate & we are now hiring a professional plumber to fix the multiple leaks for us.

Our cedar tub from Northern Lights has been a lovely addition to our back yard. Ordering from Northern Lights was easy and they have made themselves available for whatever customer support we have needed during installation and learning how best to operate our tub. We look forward to many years of relaxing evenings with this tub.

We installed a northern lights cedar hot tub at our last house and when we recently built our new house several years later we had a space built to install another cedar soaking tub and also a sauna both from northern lights.We had one issue with a heater element and they were quick to send a replacement part and provided support for the installation. If you build a hot tub or sauna it is a good idea to have at least one other person (two is better) to help. A fun project IF you are handy. It took us about 4 full days from start to finish on the hot tub build including plumbing, staining, plus about 3 hours of time for the electrician to connect and install the breakers and main wiring. I spent about 4 hours troubleshooting the heater element replacement problem and so far it is fine.I read a few of the other reviews and we had none of the bad experiences that the other reviewers had. The plumbing does take time to set up correctly and if you don’t know how to work with PVC fittings get someone to help who does. Also, note that our hot tub stave joints leaked for a good 2 months until the wood expanded to the point that it no longer leaked. Not a huge leaks and the saw dust trick slowed it down a lot.The electrical connections inside the heat pump pack is pretty straight forward but if you are not comfortable with working with wires and connectors then again, get someone who is to help. For sure use a licensed electrician when setting up the power source and GFCI.My wife and I read the manuals twice before starting the work and I did go to the hardware store to buy a couple extra PVC fittings to make it work for our application.It took several months to get our hot tub cover but we were warned that there was a long wait period due to supplier issues caused by Covid.The sauna was much easier to build than the hot tub as there is no plumbing or water tight fit to deal with. We built that in a weekend with our nephew. Three people is a must for sauna build!The hot tub photo is the test assembly and the fully assembled and installed unit under the deck. The sauna being stained. We really enjoy them both.
