This place is a hidden gem of the city. We visited Ottawa for Tulip festival during the Victoria day long weekend and not many restaurants were open.We were looking for places to eat around the Parliament Hill area and ended up finding this restaurant and decided to go for dinner. When we arrived the restaurant, it was very busy. A tiny entrance and not a very impressive place at first sight.We were told that it could take as long as one hour in waiting as both restaurant and staff were busy. As we were not having many choices after a tiring day, we decided to wait.We were taken in within 20 minutes and we ordered our food right away. We ordered tandoori naan/roti, paneer tikka masala, Manchurian, veg biryani and daal tadka. The food was outstanding and so was the staff. We never had such a great experience in Ottawa with Indian food. This is a highly recommended restaurant and a must visit.

The ambience is good. The food is yummy. The quantity of food is more than expected. Staff was nice. The full Indian vibe was great.

Indian food place in core downtown… must try their naan/breadFor the kadai paneer and malai kofta I’ll give - 3.5 stars; they were a bit too sweet for my taste and kofta was a bit hard.For the Palak paneer naan and garlic naan - 4.5 stars

My friend suggested it, the food was delicious and service was good. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He suggested dahi kabab, which was undoubtedly awesome. We ordered veg manchurian, harabhara kabab and veg sizzler for starters, Kadhai paneer for the main course and mungdaal halwa, rasamalai for dessert. Overall food quality and taste was amazing and also the service by staff. This is gonna be my favorite restaurant now.

The chicken pakoras were good, nevertheless I have to say that the portions for the rest of the food were not as big as other similar places. Additionally, the butter chicken sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce, sweet with no butter flavour, the rice that comes with the package is very simple, not biryani. I would really hesitate to come back

Not an acceptable level of service on a weekend night coupled with Indian Style Chili Chicken with no green chilies in but load of sweet chili sauce switched us off. Main course, all chicken dishes had pre-boiled chicken just put in gravy and heated up. Only dish which was palatable was fish tikka. For me, not a place to revisit when we have better Indian options available in city.

I recently dined at Mumbai Masala Grill and had an excellent experience. The servers were kind, courteous and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. It was raining outside, so we ordered the Onion Bhaji as a starter, which was a perfect choice for a rainy evening.For the main course, we ordered the Paneer Lababdaar and Garlic Naan, and I was not disappointed. Both dishes had a fantastic taste and came in a good quantity. The flavors in the Paneer Lababdaar were perfectly balanced +spicy as we requested and the Garlic Naan was soft and fluffy.The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, which added to the overall dining experience. I would definitely visit Mumbai Masala Grill again, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian cuisine in Ottawa

We were told about this restaurant from friends that are originally from India who loved it. We found it super clean as soon as we entered and the waiting staff were very polite. The food was amazing and very well displayed. I loved that the food area was very clean and easy to navigate. I will be visiting again for sure and bringing my family. Tons of selection, and if you are vegetarian that isn't a problem.

Best indian food in downtown of Ottawa. The food was very delicious and the staff was also friendly. Highly recommend it for spice lovers.

Very very good food. We really enjoyed sitting and eating such a delicious lunch with friends. They gave us complimentary dessert for our daughter. This is one of the gem of a restaurant in Ottawa. Very Humble staff and they take good care of you. Everything was very nice. Thank you
