On Christmas day we will gather around and watch our pet die.The indifference and disorganisation of the Princess Animal Hospital is appalling. Our dog has been seen there after a long and painful wait their diagnosis was dismissive and received only an analgesic for his pain. When we called back they didn't want to see u and referred us to another Clinic.I find this performance and attitude highly disturbing, and any further attempt to find treatment for him has been enormously frustrating. We spent over six hours travelling and waiting including a trip to Ottawa to try to find an available clinic. We have found the veterinary services here in Ontario poorly organised, dishonest and verging on incompetence. Like the Human Health Care system, it is deeply broken and is doing a disservice to the pet owners in Ontario.Enjoy your Christmas with your family. For us it will consist of gathering together to watch our dog die.I wish you the worst for the new yearnicholas bakyta

This is an example of how they operate in protecting large organizations vs protecting the public. My dog was euthanized as the vet of large organization in Guelph said they could not stabilize. They could not stabilize as she did not receive fair chance to stabilize, every single medication they administered was calculated wrong and CVO finds this acceptable as they have to protect the reputation of this public organization. Ordered dose does not equal to administered dose if the math is wrong.Lasix:Ordered dose: 2mg/kgWeight 2.68 kgLabel concentration: 50 mg/mlRecords state she received 3 doses, not intended 4 doses (3 IM and 1 IV):0.11 ml, 0.1 ml, 0.18 mlFormula to calculate: Body Weight x Dose Rate/ConcentrationCORRECT CALCULATED DOSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN: 0.11 ml per doseQuestion: how did they calculate 3 different volumes for the same desired dose? CVO finds this acceptable.Butorphanol (Controlled substance)Ordered dose: 0.2 mg/kgWeight 2.68 kgLabel concentration10 mg/mlCORRECT CALCULATED DOSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN: 0.05 mI per doseRecords state she received 0.16 ml, three times the ordered amount and CVO finds this acceptable.

Incompetent and bad judges of character. This is ridiculous, complaints should be brought forth to a REAL court of Justice, not a vet school. These people accept lies from vets and could care less about your complaints ; wolves in sheeps clothing indeed. All in it for the money. If I could put no stars I would. You do a whole lot of nothing! Who in the hell made you the judges?!

A year and a half later and I am still waiting to have my complaint against Dr. Tamara Beckstead of both Northtown Veterinary Hospital in Brampton and Silvercreek Veterinary Clinic in Guelph resolved. My complaint was forwarded to her for review in July 2021 and the CVO advised me that there is not set time limit for her to respond. There needs to be a some sort of legitimate regulatory body to ensure our pets get the care that they deserve because this organization is not doing their job. If you read the reviews of this Vet (especially from her clinic in Guelph) you would think that the CVO would take notice and do something. They obviously DO NOT CARE!

Some of the staff is great providing assistance and help while others lack customer service or seem to be all the time busy and unwilling to understand and support the veterinarians

They allow vets caught abusing animals on camera to continue to practice! Disgusting. Dr. Mahavir Singh Rekhi should have had his license revoked after he was caught punching and choking animals in his clinic. Instead, he's allowed to continue to practice.

It seems to me that the CVO suffers from gross incompetence or outright corruption. If you are considering filing a complaint with the CVO, I must tell you that it will almost certainly be in vain. Snails put the bureaucracy at the CVO to shame - my family has submitted a complaint in January 2021 and the college has still yet to review our case. You will see below of many other experiences of communication issues with the CVO during the complaint process. I have followed up with Rose countless times and it seems to be the same excuse every time: 1. too many complaints, 2. too much COVID, 3. we'll get to you soon. I don't know why COVID is such an issue to reviewing cases at home or even the office especially at this stage in the pandemic. I assume that the organization has become dysfunctional over COVID or dragging their feet in protection of their licensed members.Either way, the process isn't worth your time. If you seek justice for your vet, I'm afraid you will probably not find it here. And unfortunately with our legal system viewing pets as property, the odds are stacked against pet owners in getting justice without risking thousands of dollars in legal advice or litigation.Losing our dog was a heartbreaking moment that I will never forget, and my experience with the complaint process has absolutely destroyed any confidence of the CVO having a shred of consideration for public interest.

In our opinion veterinarians should be government regulated. CVO seems prejudicial against the public & shows favor/bias towards vets.We felt we didn't get due process for us it was not fair or impartial. CVOnever spoke with the victim's family or witnesses? We felt re-victimized.We think there should be an ombudsman to help protect the public alsofair impartial independent members of the public should also be involved in reviewing every complaint filed against a veterinarian finally a whistle blower mechanism should be made available to the public and staff to safely report.

I have not visited this spot - but I am strictly posting about the case with the liscenced vet Mahavir Singh Rheki. I’m just reading up about this vet now. The fact that the OVC took literally almost no action against someone (back in 2017 and who may be continually practicing to this day) who was proven to have video evidence, pleaded guilty, and was reported by colleagues for animal abuse, is literally sickening. It definitely speaks to the moral and ethical practices that the college endorses. Rumours have it - this vet is still practicing to this day now in Manitoba. Have you done any follow-up on this guy since then? Cause if this college was serious about upholding the standards of practice they preech, then you should be doing ongoing check-ins to ensure no animal is ever treated in this gross manner ever again. Money shouldn’t be your driving force to ensure safety and well-being of animals.

Beware when writing to /dealing with Rose Robinson who deals with correspondence regarding complaints. Since April of 2108 my complaint material was submitted before all deadlines". All of a sudden her "committee" asked me for a two page report I had obtained from the vet in APRIL 2018 January 22 2019-right before the Hearing regarding treatment of my cat by a vet in Hamilton. This should have been requested by her on the very first correspondence. This was a simplistic 2 page "report" about the death of my cat.The vet finally produced an enormous and elaborate piece of veterinary description of a highly technical nature. I could not find the simple original report. Ms. Robinson also stopped sending me stamped envelopes and I had to write lengthy submissions with zero computer skills and no scanning capability. In summary beware of Rose Robinson. She may ask you at the very end of multiple submissions over multiple months that "The committee is requesting" (right before a hearing) that should have been requested on the first correspondence with her. I made multiple references to that 2 page report on my cat Scrooge in many of my submissions. The case is set up to fail ."
