A new look for By the Bay General store, complete with a Beer and Liquor Store (Adult candy store)!The Fish and chips was “Awesome “ as usual!The only place where the Liquor and beer store manager, hardware store manager, grocery department manager, waiter and greeter is the same guy!

Anytime I’m working in the area I make sure to stop in for breakfast/lunch to see the amazing staff and owners who make By The Bay the great place it is. Fantastic omelettes, fish & chips, sandwiches & service.

Amazing rooms with reasonable price at great location. Right by the bay, just as its name. Thank you Sarah and whole family for such warm welcome and your morning hot chocolates. There was no better way to start our mornings. It was a lot more than what we expected and really a great trip. Definitely recommend this motel, they are very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic little motel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The store that is attached seems to have just about everything you could ever need and the food made to order was delicious. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. I would absolutely recommend staying here and I definitely will be back next year myself.

My boyfriend and I spent our anniversary weekend in the 2 bedroom waterview cottage with our puppy. We loved everything about this place and can not wait to come back. The dock is gorgeous and amazing for watching the sunset or star gazing, we spent a few hours on an inflatable boat in the bay, the staff is so friendly and caring, and everything you need is right there in the store. The cottage was so cute, super clean, the back yard was fairly private, BBQ provided. Definitely a must if you are wanting a fun and relaxing weekend away, so great that they allow dogs in their cottages as well!

I rented a cottage here during the off season. Things I liked was they allowed dogs and it was a flexible start date (so many cottages are only Saturday to Saturday rentals), The cottage was basic; but, well equipped. Staff were excellent and Sarah even provided two free breakfasts from their country store. She also loaned us some DVDs from her personal collection. If you're looking for absolute privacy this isn't the cottage for you; but, in the off season it should suit almost anyone. Definitely will rent there again in future years. It's a busier area; but, very friendly people. Centrally located on the Peninsula and was ideal for backing up my daughter who hiked the Bruce Trail from Wiarton to Tobermory during the week.

Awesome place just in front of the beautiful lake. Sara and her husband are so caring and nice. If you go there, don't forget to drink hot chocolate because it's so delicious.Rooms were nicely arranged and all the facilities were organized properly as needed.Thank you for your great hospitality.

An absolute gem! Rented the cottage by the water for 5 days and loved every second of it! People at the store were so friendly and so helpful! Definitely will be back!Fishing was also hard but great!

This is arguably one of the best little general stores. Great hours and has everything from beans to candy to ice cream to a great selection of alcohol. Friendly staff & good portion sizes from the grill.
