There is simply no easy way to describe how incredible our experience with Pacific Midwifery was.Terry Lyn and Jesse took care of us during both pregnancies and we couldn’t have wished for a better team.The pre- and postnatal care we received was extremely professional, warm and comforting.We always left a visit feeling uplifted, reassured and all questions were answered with such patience and detail. Not just for myself, but also for my husband, who felt always involved and looked after.Both of my c-sections were attended by my midwife’s and we are beyond grateful for it. It brought a lot of comfort to a rather cold and intimidating environment. They didn’t just stay for the procedure itself. While my husband was with our baby right after surgery, our midwife’s were with me for the majority of the time. Explaining everything going on, making sure my needs are met and giving me frequent baby updates.Bonus: Our midwife’s took amazing, literally professional looking birth photos.But it didn’t end there, we were accompanied to the recovery room, where baby was helped latching for the first time and we got daily visits in the hospital.We also really loved our home visits after our babies were born. It was such a precious time and it never felt rushed.There is no doubt that our midwife’s love what they do. We felt that our team became part of our family during this journey and we truly miss seeing our midwife’s on a regular basis … we will cherish these memories forever.Sophie & Shaun

I gave birth to my baby last summer with Pacific Midwifery. I could not be happier with the quality of care I received. Terry Lyn, Mandy and Jesse are all outstanding care providers. They are excellent communicators, tremendously knowledgeable, and empathetic. Throughout my pregnancy, they took time and care to discuss options, listen to concerns and answer all my questions, allowing me to make informed decisions at every stage. They supported all my decisions wholeheartedly. From start to finish, they made me feel cared for, confident, informed and empowered. I feel so positive about by my birth experience and so much of that is thanks to this wonderful team. They were there for me every step of the way through a very long labour and finally, the delivery at BC Women’s Hospital. Their postpartum support was also incredible; after every visit I felt both relieved (all my nervous-new-mom questions having been answered) and more confident in caring for my newborn. Once the postpartum recovery period came to an end, I really missed seeing going to regular appointments and seeing them! My husband and I would recommend them without reservation (we recommend them to all our friends), and they would be our first choice for care in any future pregnancies.

Amazing clinic! Highly recommend the team-special shout out to Terry Lynn, Jesse and Kirsten who are absolute super women. I had my first birth with the team and could not ask for a better, more supportive, intelligent, and confident team. Kirsten is also newer to the clinic and is absolutely phenomenal. She did all my post in house visits and I could not be more grateful for the time and knowledge shared with me. She even made the visits fun and warm- like a friend coming to check in on you. I feel like everyone genuinely cares about you and your babe and have the confidence and experience to put you at ease. Thank you team!! Xx

Our experience with Pacific Midwifery was nothing short of amazing. Jesse, Mandy and Terry Lyn were individually knowledgeable, kind and supportive throughout our entire experience, and my husband and I both felt very respected and supported throughout every interaction with them.Jesse was the attending midwife for the birth of our son at home, and it was truly the most positive experience due to her care, patience and encouragement. I really wish the postpartum care didn't end after only 6 weeks, as I know we will never receive this personalized level of support with a family doctor.A huge thank you to the entire team at Pacific Midwifery Practice for supporting us through the birth of our first baby!

We had both of our sons with them. The first experience was in 2020 and it was amazing. All the wives followed through and listened very well. After having our second son with them in 2022; it was a horrible experience. The quality of service they provided was very slow. For instance, they forgot to send my ultra sound referral and never followed up with us after the results until we called them. Also, they hired a new mid-wife (Calloway) and told us she would be shadowing during delivery, which was a lie. The main mid-wife barely did anything (Terry Lyn) she let the new person do the entire delivery and it was her second week on the job. We waited and waited in the emergency room while my wife was in serious pain without any help from the midwives. It is because Midwives have no priority in the emergency room, they give those priorities with patients who are with OGGYN's hence which is why they push the home birth so hard. My wife went through an intense procedure and nearly died (lost aprox 1.5 Liters of blood) and they never followed through with us to see how she was doing afterward, completely careless and zero compassion. This is not something you expect from a midwife, you expect them to show more empathy than a doctor. Terry Lyn was very confused about what happened to my wife, she provided me with unfactual info (I got the facts afterwards from the doctor). Btw, Terry Lyn should have known all the details accurately as she was standing next to the doctor the entire time after delivery. We even ordered the cord blood and I felt she didnt even know what to do, she was reading the instructions like she hasn't done it in ages while she told me shes does it all the time". Finally

As a first time Mom, I am so grateful to have found Pacific Midwifery. Terry Lyn and Jesse ensured that I could make informed decisions during my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. During labor, they were present and respected the birth plan we discussed at our sessions. We ended up having two pospartum visits from Susie because we moved to a different region. It was wonderful having this option available since going into the clinic with a newborn would have been difficult. We are lucky to have had such empathetic, professional, and warm midwives alongside our journey - thank you! I highly recommend to anyone in search of a lovely team.

The Pacific Midwifery team has supported my husband and I through my first pregnancy since Jan this year, and I believe we had the most empowering pregnancy and delivery experience because of them. As a first time mom, I didn't know anything about pregnancy,midwifery etc. I contacted a few midwifery practice offices but PMP contacted me immediately. Timely and reliable communication was such an important part of this journey so we decided to go with PMP. Diana was so quick to respond to all my inquiries. Chloe, Jesse and Terry-lynn we're very knowledgeable and available. They took their time to make sure we were provided with all relevant info for us to be able to make decisions. Unlike doctors visits, their approach was so much more patient oriented and not overtly medicalisted. They made me feel much less anxious throughout my pregnancy. I always felt we had a choice in every decision. I cannot thank Jesse and Chloe for their support during my labour and delivery. Chloe provided me with reassurance and came over immediately to check on me during my labour. Jesse coached me through the delivery and it was the most amazing experience. I felt i knew exactly what to do and most importantly super supported and safe. Post partum care has been very positive as well. I couldn't have asked for a better team!

I am almost 8 months postpartum. Nevertheless I remember by pregnancy and birth very clearly as it wasn’t an easy one. Our meetings with Pacific during the pregnancy was pretty normal. My midwives did all the regular stuff quite efficiently. I honestly thought it is going to be a regular experience where you work with a professional and then move on in life. But it is different with Pacific.I had a traumatic birth and Kristen was with me during that vulnerable time. I can’t express in words how supportive she was. She attended another birth that night just before me and had no sleep. But even after that she was all in there. She supported me emotionally, mentally and physically. She was advocating me the right way. And when at the birth I wasn’t available for my baby and my husband she even supported my husband emotionally. We as a family are so so grateful to her.If I ever have another baby I would definitely want Pacific as my care provider.
