Staff is always very helpful here.I also like that the store holds fun children's events like the paint and plant workshop that was held this spring.I'm hoping to see more events like this, this year.

The service out of the Contract Sales department is over the top. This is not your ordinary big box store quality of service, this is your local store, personal service quality. Recommend highly. We got all our windows replaced. Very pleased with the contractors that they have on call and the personal touch that the Contract Sales Staff provide -- even to come on site to help when needed.

We bought a front door and very expensive Andersen Sliding Doors for our deck almost a year ago from Home Hardware.Re the front door - the phantom screen turned out to be incompatible with our front door despite the advice of the salesperson otherwise, which we only discovered after installation.Re the Andersen deck doors -They look lovely after waiting nearly a year but it's been months since the doors were installed and we are still waiting to have the screen door installed because apparently a piece was missing. The staff and installers have been lovely to deal with but they seem to be helpless to get a simple part from Anderson so they can hang the screen door and finally finish the job. Very disappointing to spend that kind of money for this level of service.

They call themselves a lumber store! Whatever you do, don’t buy lumber there. It is all garbage.Actually, that’s the case for all lumber yards in the Okanagan-Similkameen! Very sad for Canada. Apparently lumber grades have been abandoned.

I was passing thru town and didn't expect a retail hardware business would close by 6pm on a weekday.I walked in (the doors were open and the lights were on), one employee asked if I needed anything and said they closed in 30 seconds. He was corrected loudly and immediately by other employees who said they were already closed. Then, as I walked into the main aisle and over to the exit, I got yelled at by an employee about how they were closed. By now, it might have been 6:01pm. I've never known any store to be SO rude and obnoxious. When I went to the exit doors, they were already locked. And, the entrance wasn't letting me out. It took about a minute for the employees to figure out how to even let me. Given the situation, it seems they had locked the exit BEFORE the closing time (likely, a serious fire code violation) in their angst to leave not one millisecond past closing. All in all, pretty much all the employees streamed out the door by 6:02pm.I wasn't planning to wander around for long, especially once learning they were closed, but I would expect to have been treated with more dignity about the matter. Most places I've been give you at least a few minutes after closing to wrap up one's shopping and get out. Clearly, these employees don't care about customers enough to even be pleasant and courteous in their demeanor.Having worked in retail (food) and professionally, I'd never expect to be out the door within 2 minutes of closing time.I certainly wouldn't recommend this business (or these awful employees) to anyone.
