I called Shears Salon and Spa because i recently moved and I needed a new place to call home for my hair. I have been getting my hair colored and highlighted for years in other salons, but I've never really been truly 100% satisfied with my results until now. Kelly at Shears was the first person in years to literally understand what color brown i was looking for and she delivered. I loved the trim she did too....she trimmed it so nicely in all spots, while maintaining my length . My hair has never looked so good.... and healthy and shiny!! Even my boyfriend said that exact thing, 'This is the best your hair has looked in years'. I feel it too. Thank you so much. I'll be back to see you Kelly and am looking into other services you provide as well. :-) Thanks again.Update April 2023- 2 yrs later. My hair is ahhhhmaaaaaazzzzinnnng. Like I can’t even describe how good my hair looks.I’ve moved from the country and now live in the city and continue to see Kelly at Shears. She is second to none. This Salon is second to none.Attaching proof. I’m the gal in grey shirt and jeans (half face) and amazing brown color hair with perfectly placed highlights. Oh and awesome bangs.

Men's haircut, great . Women's haircut, absolutely not. I asked for a cut, tapered, layered with curtain bangs. I got a straight cut, with 2 obvious layers. The bangs were just terrible.

Just left after getting my long roots finally touched up again. I couldn’t bring myself to complain at the time but I totally should have said something and I’m kicking myself for not. I’m embarrassed to admit I paid money for the dye job. The bleach was put on fast and sloppy and the colour too. My hair is terribly patchy and uneven half because the bleach was super uneven, splotchy. Like noticeable yellowish and darker patches in the fashion colour I have been using. My husband noticed it right away. The stylist said she had ten minutes to finish up and do the trim but she barely did any. A tiny bit at the back and that’s it. I had asked for the bangs I’m growing out be blended in with the rest. That was even mentioned back when I made the appointment. I’m so disappointed. Does anyone take pride in their work?Won’t be returning.

Fantastic Staff and friendly service.I have a very active the staff are very patient with her. My whole family goes to get their hair cut here, and will continue for years to come

Oh my goodness let me just say I'm so glad to be local to Elmsdale now because I may have never met Nikki otherwise and she is amazing! She understands curls and makes sure you don't leave that seat until you are 100% satisfied! I told her today I never want anyone else cutting my hair again!!! You won't be disappointed!

I like the atmosphere. My hair was cut much shorter than I would have liked. I didn't want to complain though, it's hair and it will grow back.

Love my hairstylist, June. She is kind, friendly and knows just how I like my hair done. The staff here are always pleasant as well. Would definitely recommend.

Always flexible to suit your timing. Courteous staff. Communication via phone is easy and straightforward. Appropriately located - one family member can get a haircut while another member does grocery shopping at just adjacent wall.They also have currently have discounts on hair and beauty products like cream or hair dryer. Staff is native to East hants.

I had an appointment with Madison. She took me in early, was courteous and friendly. She did an excellent job with my foils and cut. Very professional!! I'd definitely recommend this young lady ❤
