Horrible service. Too busy for their own competency. Travelled almost 8000 km and needed service. Booked a week in advance and when we brought it in it was there for four days and never touched. Was told that their clients have priority. I highly doubt that their clients get good service as my father is one. I am from NL and am embarrassed for my husband to see people treat each other this way. And then to get attitude from the woman when it's their incompetence....never again.

We bought a 2014 sunset trail from islander. We had it in numerous times for various issues including leaks and seal replacement. We came to find out today that we have extensive water damage and possible mould inside the trailer, and islander is claiming it's due to neglect. This trailer was well taken care of by us in the 5 years we owned it! The real issue is that the product is absolute GARBAGE! It's so bad that islander doesn't even carry this trailer anymore which obviously speaks volumes! So now we have a trailer that we still owe 10's of thousands of dollars on, a possible repair bill of $15,000 + and the company that sold it to us are saying too bad. DO NOT BUY FROM ISLANDER RV!!

Anyone that's buys a keystone rv should go get there heads checked ecpecally from islander.i purchased a 2014 sprinter 5th wheel from them and had so many leaks and problems I decided to trade it on a 2016 cougar 5th wheel and on the drive home I noticed the fresh water tank was leaking, the door handle to the bunk house fell apart, the entrance door latch keeps coming apart inside and I have to take it apart to fix it,the trap under the bathroom sink was broken and ever time you ran water it leaked, and now I just took it out of storage and now the roof in the bunk house slide is leaking.its a 3 1/2 hr drive ever time I have to take it to the dealer and then it has to be left there for several days to be fixed which is another drive home and back to the dealer again which gets very costly roughly $350 each round trip by the time you get your rv home again. But the worst thing of all is they never fix anything and tell you they did. When I traded my sprinter on the cougar there was $20000 from the sprinters loan carried over to the cougar so now I'm left with a $81000 loan on a 2016 trailer that's junk as well.i also find them very rude there unless your purchasing something from them then your there best friend.Thats my rant for today

I have been here twice and never bought anything so i can only speak to the sales staff who were some of the most personable and non-pushy people i have met. If i ever do pull the trigger on an RV these guys will be my first stop.

This company has just gone into receivership (September 2018) and the gates are locked. It happened whilst we had an RV out on hire and when we got back the gates were locked. We appear to have lost our security deposit so please look elsewhere for your camper!

We rented a 28' motor home from Islander in September, 2015 for 3 weeks. The reservation process was straightforward, prices reasonable, and the motor home was ready for us on schedule. We greatly enjoyed our 3 weeks in the motor home.I lowered the rating a little because of several mechanical problems we encountered These things can happen with any vehicle, and can't be entirely blamed on the company. I maintain my cars at home, but they all occasionally have things that need to be fixed. However, in particular the vehicle had a strong pull to the right when driving down the highway, which a short test drive before releasing it to us would have revealed. My other main complaint about the company is slow response to email and difficulty contacting them on weekends. We ran into a little trouble on a Saturday and called the contact number we were given. I left several messages, but didn't hear back until Monday. If this had been a serious problem we would have been in trouble. I also sent a few emails regarding various minor issues (e.g. Where is the antenna amp switch?), and never got a response. But on the plus I did get a response within a day for more serious issues and questions, at least on weekdays. This difficulty in communication might have lowered the rating more, but the company (especially Sandra) when they did finally respond was very helpful and accommodating to the extent of reducing the fee because of the difficulties we encountered. With the mechanical issue mentioned above (front end needed alignment), they told us to just take it anywhere and get done whatever needed, and bring them back the bill. Though we would have prefered to not have had the problem, the open wallet and not needing to clear every fix with them made it a lot easier. The website states that vehicles should not be taken off the island of Newfoundland. However, the contract doesn't say that, and we took it all over Maritime Canada. We never mentioned this to them, but I'm sure they knew it based on the miles and time gone. I think there was a mutual agreement to avoid the topic. However, in the future they may change this policy so don't take it for granted.Newfoundland and Maritime Canada are beautiful and an RV is an excellent way to experience it. You can stay in cities or national parks with all the same conveniences, without needing to pack and unpack every day at a motel. I can recommend Islander RV if you want to start in Newfoundland.
