Fantastic! Location was easy to get to. Took the bus downtown and rented a scooter to take me the rest of the way. Staff were excellent. I videotaped the km and condition of the vehicle for pick up and return. The agent who dealt with the return quoted the exact km I used. I rented the uhaul because it was more than $100 cheaper than renting a car for the day after my car broke down. Total was $48 and that includes the gas I put in just before returning it.

This experience was phenomenal. I have rented from Uhaul each year for many years at several outlets around Calgary such as the Barlow or Kensington locations, and it is usually pretty decent. This new location just opened up, and is run by a pro. Even though the location is still somewhat under construction, the outlet manager ushered us in and got our paperwork and everything put through quickly and efficiently. We went out to do the vehicle walk-around right after, and then my partner and I were on our way. I was impressed at how he was able to handle us despite having to work with minimal office equipment set up (due to the ongoing construction) and answer all of our questions with ease. I would highly recommend this downtown location to anyone, and will definitely rent from this outlet again in the near future.

Awful customer service experience here... I was stuck renting a U-haul Pick up truck from them as another location messed up my hitch installation on my SUV. When I went to check the pick up truck, that was supposed to have a hitch to tow, the ball hitch was missing.When I went to ask the customer service rep about it, the 2 individuals looked at me like deer in head lights. They had no idea what a ball hitch was, and just said that they didn't stock it or sell it... for a company that was supposed to be renting vehicles to be used for towing, the training that their staff had was non-existent. It was such a frustrating experience and they were of no help. I Had a gift certificate that needed to be applied to my transaction which I had called them to apply to, and again, the customer service agent at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. I wish this was an isolated incident, but of the 3 U-haul locations I've used in Calgary, all of them had the same level of sub-par customer service.

Worst UHaul EVER!!!!I went to pick up a truck I had pre-booked, they told me my truck was moved to the JP Goodies location, so I drove there but couldn’t locate the business. I called JP goodies and they said they had been out of business for 2 weeks. I called 9th Ave uHaul on my drive back and they told me to call their head office. I told them I was driving, and asked them to connect me instead but they said they can’t and I should take the number down. It wasn’t until my wife raised her voice did they agree to connect us. They acted like it was our problem and we had to go fix it. Terrible service from terrible people, don’t believe the fake smiles when you walk in. You are better off asking a homeless person for help than these folks. Like moving isn’t stressful enough.By the way, the person we were connected to in their head office fixed everything in 1 min and gave proper customer service.

Worst experience ever!!!! Just charge you money even you didn't do any damage to the car if you didn't purchase damage insurance. So dishonest and arrogant. Never use Uhaul and if you have to, at least don't come to this place. One star because there was no ZERO!!!!!!

WARNING: Uhaul trucks do NOT have winter tires. If you get stuck in snow or ice they will charge YOU $300 for their own cheapness.

Don't bother reserving as they do not honour it.First I was given a call the night before notified that I will be moved to another location. I make sure to confirm that I will still have the mobile pick-up as I needed the U-Haul for 6:30am.Next morning, I get to the U-haul at 6:35am and see a notification that I will have to wait until 8:00am for them to open to pick up my truck. I call the hotline and get offered another truck on the complete opposite side of the city at 7:00am. I had to COMPLAIN to get a $50 credit which didn't cover the scooter and then Uber I had to take to get to the two different locations.By the time I got there, it was 7:30am and I had to go through the city at Rush hour pushing my entire day back by 2 hours.It's unbelievable in the technological age that they cannot honour their reservations.What a waste of time and money.

The lady that served me had a thick accent, she was very nice and polite but it was hard to understand her and she didn't give clear enough instructions about the vehicle and where to find it properly. Other than that it was a good experience.

Don't book here! Was told by a Uhaul representative after I called to discuss my reservation that this location doesn't exist anymore even though their website will allow you to select it as an option for truck pick-up.
