Dr. Ann Chiu

Good surgeon, (reputable surgeon and it's my personal experience). Office appointments leading up to surgery and afterward had issues involving dilation of my eyes and then asking me to read and sign a fine-print contract before I leave while everything was blurred, forgetting me in the waiting room until office closing, not letting me know I need to book a follow-up appointment to get stitches removed (or perhaps letting me know verbally while I was coming out of sedation ....a written note would be best).

This Dr has you in her 'store' looking at stuff she's trying to sell you as you wait. Then, when u meet her, her bedside manner is non-existent. I came there after an eye-trauma. She put drops in my eyes &, when i could not see, i asked if i could drive home. She said 'you should be okay'?! I drove blindly, down Howard Ave. praying I'd make it. I cried when I was in her office due to my eye trauma and, not only did she say I was 'difficult' (nice) she put a negative note in my file!! This Dr is an unprofessional, money grubber & you better not have an emotion in front of her.

Dr. Chiu was aggressive in treating my eyelid problems. I couldn't be happier with the end results! Unlike the other Optomologist who was unable to improve my situation.

Dr. Chiu is perhaps the worst doctor in Ontario. Waiting for a specialist appointment could be a long period of time to begin with, but this office changed my appointment 3 times. I ended up seeing her after one whole year since they had received the referral. Once at their office, I waited 4 hours! I was there for a total of 5.5 hours where she jumped from one patient to another not remembering what the issues were for each patient. She promised to forward the report to my Osteologist but failed to do so and I only found out after a couple of months for my doctor to call me. As for her medical advice, she misdiagnosed me even after I indicated my symptoms. She was rude and condescending with no respect for her patient's time or health. She is retired now and is off the hook or else I would have reported her to CPSO. Their number listed on Google is not correct and can't get my report so I could forward it to my doctor. What a waste of a whole year waiting for an incompetent doctor who only cares about money.

NEVER Go to Dr An Chiu! Assembly line procedure in the office, barely glanced at my eyes and determined that EVERYONE attending her office that day required iridotomy surgery. Furthermore she didn't even show up for 6 patients scheduled for Saturday surgeries today! Money for gas, parking, $25. per hour for a respite worker, like our time isn't worth anything? Not to mention the family members recruited to drive us home afterwards.Selfish, arrogant, unprofessional!

I have had an Issue with Dr. Chiu. She didn't examined my eyes and reffered to Eye Surgon. Finally, learned from Eye Surgon, nothing wrong in my eyes, wondering to know know why she refrred to Eye Surgon without proper examination...
