Shoppers Drug Mart

The pharmacy is the worst. They temporarily lost my prescription refill and hung up on me when I was trying to sort out the matter. They refused to let me pick up my new prescription any earlier than the day I need it. And it's medication I have to take first thing in the morning. They neglected to mention that one of the medications I was on was supposed to be taken at night so I took it with my morning medication and was feeling very ill. Once the pharmacist got confused about the dosage and asked me if I knew what dose it should be. Because of this incompetence I had to wait for much needed medicine. They have no understanding of the meaning of customer service or the importance of health and safety.

Customer service here is absolutely terrible!!! Last week i went to buy some makeup and i had a quick question, made an eye contact with the girl on the cosmetic department that was putting inventory away. I said (can i ask you a quick question?) and she said (hold on)...then she continue on with her inventory, completely ignoring me...I waited a while than finally decided to walk away. I was totally shocked and disappointed with the customer service here.

Was discriminated against by the security guard on April 28th at 11:30pm.Despite previously going to the store many times after 11pm and not having any issue, this time my boyfriend and I were instructed to leave our bags (small backpacks) at the front while we browsed. I did even though they had no system in place to ensure the security of my belongings. My boyfriend’s backpack however contained life sustaining medical supplies so we explained that he needed to keep it with him. The security guard insisted he leave it at the front. He suggested taking the supplies out and carrying that instead of the whole bag, but we explained that there were too many things for my boyfriend to carry. The security guard was very stubborn and flippant about the issue. He literally asked “will he need it all while being in the store?” He eventually relented (without actually understanding why this was such an issue) but we were no longer in the mood to stay in the store.We both emailed a complaint to the owner and got no response. My family and I had been going to this pharmacy for years but after this I immediately switched pharmacies.

I’ve been going in this store for 20 year and the staff are great. Recently, we’ve been using their pharmacy too but many pharmacy staff are rude and arrogant. A lady named Jasmin was rude and arrogant and even challenge me to transfer my prescription to other pharmacy. She was asking me a question when she knew the answer. She refused to refill my soma’s epilepsy medications. My insurance told me that it’s ok to renew its 1 week prior. I had it on May 27 and it is June 21 and yet she still refused to renew it. The last time I asked them to refill they said they didn’t have enough and needed to order it. I will not put my son’s health on the line and she didn’t understand it. She is very unkind and unprofessional. I will never use this pharmacy again and I will ask all my friends and families to do the same. They are not the only pharmacy.

This is by far the worst Shoppers Drug Mart out there. Good luck getting ahold of the pharmacy if you have to call them, they will never answer the phone. Now I have a sneaking suspicion this is due to them being understaffed and overwhelmed by the influx of people in the area. Nonetheless, I have to provide an honest review. This place is always packed and the communication by the pharmacy is non existent. Go to another shoppers, any other shoppers. Save yourself the time and the headache. Also good luck finding a parking spot here. Bring change for the panhandlers out front.

Security guard (Punjabi guy) told me that you don't know how to do self checkout and you must be stealing EVERY-TIME. I was like seriously what a disgusting service this is. I don't like going at night in this shoppers just because of that security guard. He was very rude, if someone asked him for help, he would talk with a lot of attitude. I wish that he should be changed because he makes us feel as if we have stolen something. I don’t want to see him anymore in this shoppers or I will buy things from somewhere else.

Other Shoppers I've went to have been fine, but this one has consistently been messing up my prescriptions. I just waited on the phone for 15 minutes with no answer after they made another mistake, so my boyfriend went in and said there was 3 people working, and they are ignoring the phone. He stood there while telling me about this and they didn't even react when he loudly told me they were ignoring the phone. (Today is February 1st and it's around 9pm) Such a waste of money to employ people who are ignoring their jobs and consistently making mistakes. I hope their incompetency doesn't end up making someone ill.Edit: The actual pharmacist working (today is February 1st and it was around 9pm when all this happened) told my boyfriend that my change in prescription strength was an add-on to what I'm already taking. NO. I am decreasing my medication, not taking this new on on top of my old prescription. If I was elderly or confused, I could have gotten very sick with this advice. Don't give advice on dosage if you don't know! I am shocked.

Worst customer service I have ever had on the phone with a pharmacy. As someone who was a pharmacy assistant for years in probably one of the busiest pharmacies in Vancouver I am appalled at the customer service here, and if the workers talk to every client the way I was spoken to they should probably not be working in this field. I called for a very simple question and the worker was very short with me and stated that they were very busy and couldn’t help me…. Even after I just asked a simple question. (after not working in a pharmacy for just over a year I could not remember and would rather be safe than sorry.) he seemed very short and clearly was not listening to me from the start because I had to repeat my very simple question more than once and he still seemed very confused and then basically just said yes to my question which I wasn’t sure if he fully understood leaving me a bit concerned that that may not be the right answer especially if the worker didn’t understand my question to start.So I called a different location and they were very nice and answered my question immediately.Do better with your customer service, in all my time working in a pharmacy I have never been so rude to someone on the phone, even if we were super busy.Absolutely unacceptable. Not someone that I would trust with my medication and health. If I could leave 0 stars for this interaction alone I would. Absolutely will not be calling or using this pharmacy ever.

To have one girl responsible for taking photos and being a cashier is very bad management. That poor girl was clearly stressed out, called for help, and didn’t get any. Might I suggest instructions for all the senior citizen shoppers to use self checkout. The unbelievably rude customers were complaining about the long line to the point where I almost offered to help them. The poor girl working was doing her best but man, my website stated 15 minute photo session took an hour.

The pharmacy is very poor and unprofessional sometimes. There is probably only 1 female that was very informative and does proper research in prescription and coverage. I am on plan W and I know for a fact what is covered and what isn't yet some of these lazy girls don't read prescriptions properly or just doesn't care, there was a missing product and she said it doesn't matter if it was in the prescription I can come anytime and get it for free? But why did she fail to put it with my medicine if it was on the prescription? Please train them properly and on more than one occasion there would be 4 people standing around while people are waiting for drop off. It saddens me the lack of care most of these people have and the laziness of doing research on their end. There is just one lady that is very helpful.
