Standish Towing & Recovery

It's never a fun situation when you need to call a tow truck, but I have to say that Quentin made the situation as positive as he could. He was professional, friendly and made the process of getting back to Red Deer as painless as possible. Based on our experience, I would recommend Standish and hopefully you have Quentin as your operator.

Greg was great. Fast! He recommended other companies for services I needed. New to Sundre so having a local that spoke highly of other services was fantastic!

I got stuck in the snow while on an adventure with my kids for Spring break. Dasan from the Sundre location was there via AMA within 40 min max and had me winched out in under 15!! Impeccable customer service, friendly and really made me feel comfortable! Thank you so much for doing such q great job.

We were on a family vacation and on first day one of our two car had a mechanical failure right at lake Louise. When all the near by mechanic shops could not help in emergency, I called AMA to get it towed to my home town Olds. Tow truck didn’t come till almost 5 hours after first call. But when it came, the service made up for it. Ben, the driver, is the best at customer service. This Fella recently moved to Alberta from Quebec and I must say, his integrity and customer service is rare these days. Instead of simply towing as per request, he took 5 minutes to assess the problem. He identified it to be a broken serpentine belt which I somehow had missed to check. And advised that it’s easier to get that replaced in nearby garage. He suggested some local garages where we could find parts and where someone could help us fix it, called couple of them himself while I called others. Since most of them were booked and could not help same day that late, we finally found parts and supplies at Canadian Tire in Canmore where he later dropped us. Not only he saved us money by not towing it all the way to Olds, but helped us identify the problem and where to get it fixed. What won me over was his attitude and integrity. I asked him at one time “would not it benefit him/his company if he towed me where I had originally requested?” He simply replied “my job is to help you in your problem/situation and not just tow your car.if I know your problem has an easy fix, I want you to know” in the world where everyone is after more money and more fame, this guys restored some more faith in humanity. The Standish team is lucky to have him as a member :)P.S. we actually passed by his boss’s truck on our way and he was all praise for his boss too. How hardworking his boss is etc. Seems like this towing company is doing something right and setting up right examples for new members :)

Ended up in a ditch on a back road - arrived within 20 minutes (AMA said within 30-90 minutes) - was friendly, reliable - on the road again within 40 minutes. Would highly recommend.

Was stranded and decided to use my AMA membership to get my father's truck towed. The guy I spoke to said it would be 4 hours until I could get a tow. I said in the politest way that I was not willing to go through with the tow. Suddenly the guy I was speaking to, went from friendly to being very rude sounding and short with me. That was a deal breaker and I decided to get a tow from a competitor that was polite to their paying customer of all things. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I will continue to get a tow from the same competitor for now on.

Broke down an hour out of Calgary. The whole experience was as good as it could of been. Super nice and flexible dispatch, and driver Mike went above and beyond (helping push car, giving basic mechanic recommendations) and despite being very busy that was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend.

Handed me over to AMA USA- LOL. I had to explain to the AMA lady where I was in Canada.Standish Towing tells me they don't have a tow truck anymore due to staffing problems. I have used them successfully a couple of times for lockouts though.

Good thing ....As promised within the hour the tow truck driver Dustin showed up.I knew immediately that I was in good hands and that I was going to be taking well care of.Clear instructions were given as to how this was going to be handled and how I was going to get the RV home.I locked up my RV gave away my keys and my backup car took me home, as promised I was met in Calgary at my storage lot with my RV !The process couldn't have been simpler communication was very clear, professional and the RV made it home safe !!Now if you can imagine the situation, this was 4 girls a dog and a 28ft motorhome on a rural gravel road with no cell service ! And Standish made this EASY !When the driver met me at the storage lot, he was amazing ! He was definitely a pro, and he even allowed me to dump my tanks !
