HSBC Bank

After changing your phone or phone number, you can only regain access to your online banking app by calling the hotline . If you forgot your password and phone banking pin, they will lock your account and ask you to go to the branch to identify yourself and unlock your account, but the branch can't help you to regain access to the online banking app. You have to call the hotline. So an in-person identification at the branch is not good enough to give you access to online banking? I left a complaint in the call 'that is monitored for quality purposes' and I am still waiting for a 'manager' to call me back and inform me that they finally have fixed this flaw.

Been a customer for over a decade and now they suddenly decide to hold a bank draft for 30’days from a certified Canadian account!?? Plus call center connection to whatever country they use is useless. Wish I could give less than one star

It was really kind of the staff at HSBC bank willing to help me break a few of my big $100 notes to smaller ones ($20) although I didn't have a bank account with them as I was just a tourist! Not all banks would help if you don't have an account with them. Really appreciate it alot! There wasn't much queue when I reached around 11am+

I had decent service at this bank but it could be the hour I was there. Close to 4pm. Maybe it’s low time. The bank is setup very weird as it has the atm and premiere office upstairs and the actual bank downstairs but you had to go around a corner to access it. I didn’t have a line up but the teller had no friendly face and didn’t try to even bother to smile once. Very cut and dry but I rather have that than waiting for a long time. Just confusing as I couldn’t find where the service desk was. Look at the picture. The bank was below the elevator

Absolutely useless bank. Phoned HSBC to request a new bank card, they inform me I have to request at my nearest branch. Come into the branch and teller along with manager says they can't help me and to call HSBC.

The sum of $15 per month was taken automatically out of my account. I could not trace it so asked the bank to whom was it being paid. They did not know.So I asked to see the authorization, supposedly from me. They could not produce any originating authorization. So I asked to see the original withdrawal, perhaps that might give a clue. No.

Been banking with you for 20+ years. Opening hours have been reduced steadily over the years. Called you people for a investment portfolio update and put me on wait list, only to call me back right after the deadline had passed. Utterly useless lately and I’m quite disappointed. Glad that RBC bought you out. Good riddance. Why, just abandoning all your customers here and scurrying back to China because PingAn isn’t making enough? Cheap cowards! Yes that’s what you are! Hope you get gobbled up entirely by another bank within a decade.

Mississauga branchI am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the lack of service to an HSBC client. They block my accountI have called multiple times with a problem which, the HSBC staff is unable to do anything but forward a message to the head offices to call me back about it, and even sent it as an URGENTnow 2 weeks I can't resolve my problem..I am abroad.. and nobody helps

I had the worst experience with this bank at its Lonsdale branch. Wanted to open a Euro account and they keep delaying for over 4 months, asking all types of personal questions. they even want my NOA to open an account. Very poor management.
