The Wooden Spoon Bistro
Excellent place to stop for lunch or a snack and coffee. Huge selection of baked goods, with vegan and gluten free options, and smoothies or hot specialty drinks. There is a lot to choose from for breakfast/lunch and I was glad we arrived before noon as there was a line up to order right at 12. We both chose the tzatziki chicken gyro on a toasted pita. It was very fresh and loaded with veggies and hummus. I also ordered a side of butternut squash soup since it was a bit chilly and my partner selected the beetroot berry smoothie. It wasn't pink, but looked more like a frappuccino. - light creamy brown. Hint of beet flavour, well balanced with berry sweetness. Self serve water station. There's also a small selection of coffee accessories to up your at-home coffee game, and clothing if you want a souvenir. The wooden spoon theme is cute and there's always new menu items to try.

Google maps is the best for finding places like this. I’m on a road trip from OSOYOOS to Lethbridge AB and my wife searched for a good lunch place. Tired of Tim’s and others. This place is great. Good tunes nice staff and excellent eats. I’ll stop here again as long as I make the open hours. Great for breakfast and lunch and even afternoons coffee. Nice take away options also. Cool place. Wife had the berry bacon panini and I had the lunch special pizza sub with market soup.

Absolutely delicious breakfast/lunch spot with excellent vegetarian options.Specialty coffees (beet latte is fab), baked goods (donut day is Friday) & great grab & go options as well.Spotlessly clean, extremely friendly staff, all around fantastic experience.

A very cool looking place for sure. The food was average and whoever was cooking that day does not know how to do eggs over medium. The coffee was good.

Wow what a cute place with cozy rustic decor and a nice welcoming atmosphere!Fresh baked donuts in house on Fridays and the baked goods ALL look yummy!The pancakes are huge and fluffy, I had the Sandy sandwich OMG so deliciousDefinitely worth the stop when you're in town they do close at 3:00 p.m. today

Stopped by on a road trip for drinks and sandwich. Caramel macchiato was yummy, sandwiches and salads delicious. We wouldn’t have expected such a great place in Grand Forks!

The Wooden Spoon has been a good experience. I’ve visited a couple of times while in town, for breakfast and also just for coffee and baking.The Canadiano (espresso + choice of drip coffee) is great on long road trips.The food options are tasty.Staff are friendly.Accessible bathrooms with hand bars and a change table.

Very good, fresh food and friendly service. The food is beautiful and a great breakfast/lunch spot. It can be a little noise (happily humming, perhaps) and occasionally crowded, but it's worth a visit.
