The Deck Store Ottawa

Thank you to The Deck Store for building me a high quality low maintenance deck and divider wall this past fall. The Deck Store was recommended by another deck company that considered my project complex. The Ottawa store manager, Jean, was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of the various decking boards and railing systems. I selected TivaDek with glass railing to have a high quality low maintenance deck that was aesthetically beautiful. Stan also suggested some design changes to increase deck functionality. The construction crew was very professional (Nick and Dave); they answered all my questions. Workmanship is very high quality. My new deck and divider wall is very solid, high quality, low maintenance and aesthetically beautiful. Just what I wanted. Best Christmas present I’ve ever given myself.

What an absolutely fantastic experience. Started with Jean and his brother during the initial phase. Jean is a very courteous and a patient man. Put up with more than a few design changes with utmost professionalism.Joel and David were the top notch guys who came to install the deck after. They were extremely professional, courteous respectful and finished the job sooner than promised time.I would 100% recommend the deck store for any decking needs. In fact I wish these guys did other work too. I would have gone to any and every kind of work in and around the house.Thank you very much guys.

We needed a supplier for our deck materials, and Jean was really helpful in terms of looking at our design and mapping out the amount of product we would need to complete the job. He was also willing to match pricing in the region so you don't have to worry about checking pricing for each item yourself. One other benefit of going through this team is their relationship with the suppliers. A few of our Timbertech boards appeared to be a different colour than the other boards, and when I flagged this to Jean I got a call back from the Timbertech rep right away and they agreed to send me replacement products ASAP. Issues will arise on any job, and I was really pleased with how both the Deck Store and Timbertech managed the situation.

We hired The Deck Store Ottawa in early March 2022 to give us a design consultation and estimate. They were one of the few contractors who came out in person without making us feel like if they did a site visit they absolutely expected us to sign with them.Jean (our project manager) was an INCREDIBLE person to work with!! I cannot say enough positive things - as a kind hearted animal lover we connected right away! He listened to all of our concerns with genuine care and kept up excellent communication with us at all stages! He also personally shoveled 2 cubic yards of gravel under our deck in sweltering weather with a continuously positive outlook! Jean will not leave any piece of the project hanging -even after the deck was completed, he made sure we got a single missing nut mailed to us for the gate hardware.We always worry about having contractors here while we are at work because you never know what type of workers you are going to get. However, Mike & Yvonne (the builders) instantly inspired confidence with their precision and keen eye for design esthetics! They dedicatedly worked through a heatwave and were friendly, patient, and understanding with the multiple demos" we asked them to show us for different minor variations of the cocktail railing installation options.I would highly recommend the Deck Store Ottawa!Note: we chose TIVA PVC decking in Ironwood (rustic texture) with a Walnut border."

Jean was very helpful and was never pushy with the sales, it was a pleasure dealing with him and would recommend and deal with him again.
