Great museum! Very interesting things to see. You definitely need more than 2 and a half hours, and I am referring to the free view, not the special exhibitions. Also IMAX is brilliant. Just seen a 3D movie about Antarctica.

The museum is free but i booked tickets online the night before so that we could skip the lines but there were no lines when we got there. But, i would still order tickets just to be sure. The museum was really cool, the space display was based right as you come into the museum... good displays, informative captions... we went on a Wednesday, most of the people were school-age children but enjoyable once getting past their enthusiastic intrusions

A great museum even for younger children. Mine is only 3 but still enjoyed seeing rockets and airplanes. The Wonderlab has interactive exhibits, and even if it's recommended for older kids and my little one isn't exactly learning wavelengths or constructive/destructive wave interference, it is still something visually stimulating - she definitely wasn't bored! The planet exhibit in the space section is also very captivating for younger ones.My parent tip: the V&A museum across the street has a stunning garden courtyard that is very nice for smaller children if it is too windy for the park, a garden cafe with seating, and an excellent collection of sculpture and artifacts for grown ups if they've fallen asleep in the pushchair.

Overall I like the idea, that the museum gets a chance to visit for free and leaves a freewill option to support the museum as much as you wish. Museum is big and if you wish to discover it all you will need a full day. Or you can visit a specific hall of your interest. There are a few places of interactive expos. Lab interactive space if chargeable, you can explore everything, there are staff or explainers and many shows to understand more about electricity, maths and more. Also a nice shop to buy the toys and accessories which inspired the most.

Located in the heart of London, the Science Museum stands as a beacon of knowledge and discovery, captivating visitors with its vast array of exhibits and interactive displays. As I embarked on my exploration of this renowned institution, I was immersed in a world of scientific marvels and engrossing educational experiences.

Came here for the Science Fiction exhibition. Could easily spend a full day here (even as an adult)! Really interactive place for children, and a great launchpad to get them interested in Science and Engineering. If you can, come for the guided tour. Visit the store (as well as the café). Fun for all! Tip: Book general entry tickets in advance (it's free and they won't let you in without one).

Waoow, this science museum has a huge collection of unique, highly preserved, and amazing pieces of the biological, mechanical, and scientific collection. It's a true treasure for this generation as well for the next generation. The building is huge and a true master piece of architectural design.

Plenty of great exhibits to see and an impressive play area for kids on the bottom floor with a water tray, building blocks, soft play and much more. You have to make sure that you get in the correct lift though as its only accessible from one part of the museum.

A fantastic afternoon for me and my SO. Loads to look at. Something for everyone. The space exploration stuff is a certain highlight especially the Apollo 10 command module. Good food too! We got a sourdough pizza and a water to share for £14 in the energy hall cafe. Will be returning! The only downside is some navigation can be tricky, even when using the map, some lifts will only take you to certain parts of different floors as it’s slightly separated. Other than that it’s a fantastic afternoon out.

Three generations had a wonderful day. The original plan was to visit both science and natural history but my 4year old grandson was enjoying the science museum so much. We had a few tears when we left but promised to return.
