Sport Sewing Shop
Quick, easy, friendly. It’s a relief that a place like the Sport Sewing Shop exists to fix expensive sportswear. Plus, they have a well-stocked store-front of climbers gear, sports wash for specialty fabrics, and all sorts of outdoor accessories. Glad I finally had a garment fixed instead of buying a replacement.

This place is absolutely amazing. After returning from a 8 day interior camping trip where one of the outer windows had peeled away and had to be duck taped together, I thought my tent was pretty much done for. Sport Sewing Shop assessed the condition, recommended patching the window and suggested I do the second window at the same time as it was showing signs of wear as well. They colour matched the tent exactly and one would never know two windows were ever there in the first place. The patch work was suburb and there was not a sign of the duct tape remaining. SImply put I couldn't be happier. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, understand the sentimental value that camping gear can have and repaired my tent as if it was their own.If you need any gear repaired look no further. These people know exactly what they are doing and are real pros! The best in the city for sure!

Had my outdoor shell jacket repaired, it was quick, for a very good price.

Walked in with a broken zipper on my rain jacket that I had spent hours trying to fix and had inevitably made worse. They fixed it in under a minute and added a piece so that it wouldn't break again. Highly recommend this place. They sell ropes, helmets, harnesses and other misc climbing and outdoors gear as well. Great shop.

Nancy is the best ! Had some patches put on a couple of jackets and came out great. Very good prices. I'll be coming back in the future, thank you Nancy!

Excellent, long-lasting workmanship! I've had zippers replaced on two down coats. You'd never know they weren't the original zippers, and in one case, the replacement was better than the original. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for: a second life for your favourite coats! I would never hesitate recommending these folks to anyone.

Sport Sewing Shop is fantastic. I wish there were more places like this to help me get a longer life out of my gear rather than having to replace it. Have had a couple of zippers replaced, ski pants repaired, tent fly repaired, as well as helping me with a bent tent pole. They're fast, friendly, and the workmanship is great!

These guys are super friendly, fast and high quality. I had my beloved north face tent screen repaired and they recommended a solution to a cracked plastic window" in the fly as well. I'm SO happy with it. The cost was exactly what I expected and it was done sooner than expected. I should have done this years ago. Thank you!"

I've used Sports Sewing Shop a few times over the years and the experiences have been consistently positive--why else would I return? This is a no-nonsense outfit: good prices and solid work. Photo: I wanted some webbing sewn on as a top-handle for a favourite backpack; price: $15.

I grew up down the street and had half a dozen repairs to jackets and ski pants done here over the years. Now I live in BC, but when I visit Toronto I make sure to bring any of my damaged goods here because there is no equivalent shop anywhere else. Repairs are professional, durable, fairly priced and completed in a reasonable time frame. I hope they never close!
