UPDATE: had a slight issue with the new heat pump freezing up at -1C. I called them and Randi had a service tech Brian here within a few hours. Very responsive! Brian was great, he fixed the issue and explained a lot of things to us. He stayed until it was resolved and tested. Thank you Walker's!Walkers installed a heat pump for me. Reasonable price, they were here when they said they would be and the install techs did a good job. Good experience and I would recommend them and I will be using them in the future.

Thanks very much to all the staff of Walker's Heating and Cooling for looking after our home on Wednesday December 21. The new furnace is amazing and so very efficient. A recent visitor to your beautiful area from south western Ontario quickly made me realize that our snow conditions and roadways are quite a bit different from yours and unfortunately therefore not used to either the quantity of snow nor the hills and curves that define your roads. In any event I ended up getting stuck on an incline and was unable to free myself. However Brian, one of your staff came along and spontaneously offered his assistance and stayed with us until he was able to help us free the car and get us on our way again. He clearly went out of his way on a busy day to assist us and to say that we are and were very grateful is insufficient for the assistance he gave to us. Thankyou Walker 's Heating and Cooling and thank you with blessings to Brian. You made our visit to your area so very much more pleasant and memorable and we are indeed indebted to you.Tony and Laurette F.

Scott was courteous and friendly during the pre-installation site visit. The quote was reasonable. The installation technicians were also courteous, professional and friendly. They answered all our questions and were open to suggestions regarding installation and accommodated our needs and wants well. They cleaned up well after the installation. The Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump works well and we are very impressed with its performance. I would definitely recommend Walker's to anyone looking for HVAC needs in the greater Haliburton area. Poor customer service and shoddy workmanship means we definitely will not use or recommend Walkers again. We called the company in March to service and repair our propane furnace which was not firing properly. The first service tech who came out was rude and left our furnace looking like a hack job.The furnace did require a repair, but instead of explaining what was required, he just started hacking into it. The tech took tiles, unasked, from our basement to re-level the furnace, breaking them in the process. This actually caused the air intake and exhaust pipes to torque and begin to pull out of the furnace after he left. He also left the AC condenser hanging from the ceiling and advised we could do whatever" with it and to just cut the lines outside (which is illegal

I have used Walker's for several years, and have had some concern about the service previously, but this year was the final straw. To put it briefly, there was a problem, and they came a few times, did expensive part replacements and didn't fix the problem. I eventually figured out myself that the problem was an inappropriate filter ( installed by them) that was blocking the airflow. I replaced the filter and it has been fine for 3 months. When I contacted Walker for a response to what happened, they ignored me. I won't be back

We hired Walker's to install a new York furnace and heat pump at our home/cottage in Haliburton. Owner Scott did the quote (great guy, very straightforward) and we arranged installation for the following month. They coordinated with the electrical contractor and on installation day a SWAT team of 5 guys descended and did an absolutely amazing job. Not only was everything perfectly installed, they left the place spotless. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend this company. They are top notch!

Just want to share my experience. We are relatively new cottage owners. We inherited" Walkers from the previous owners. Walkers has reliably been servicing our gas appliances for 5 years. Most recently we had a hot water tank failure and then 2 weeks later our furnace. Called Walkers in the morning and within a few hours a technician arrived and remedied the situation to our immense satisfaction. It's a pleasure to deal with a business who promptly answers the phone so I never have to leave a voice mail! The Walker team is always pleasant and courteous. The technicians are polite

We received great service from Walkers Heating and Cooling last week. We arrived at our cottage and found a furnace problem that needed urgent attention. We called Walkers and within 2 hours a technician arrived. He found the original problem and 2 other related problems and fixed them all promptly. He showed us by testing that the problem was resolved. He also changed our furnace filter and advised us on another matter. The rest of our cottage visit was enjoyable because the issue was resolved so well and so promptly

We hired Walker's to install a new Mitsubishi Zuba air source heat pump. The entire experience was positive, from an original site visit by Scott to dealing with technicians Avery, Josh and Joe. They all listened to my wants and concerns and ensured I was 100 percent satisfied. Work coordinator Randi kept things organized providing constant updates, including a delayed arrival due to a trailer wheel issue. I elected to allow Walker's to arrange for the electrician. Sharp Electric sent Kevin who like the Walker techs did an impeccable job. The Zuba is a rather complex machine and it was a treat to see qualified people dealing with the installation. Jobsite left spotless. I really enjoyed a final visit by Avery where he explained the complete operation of the system and we had a great general chat. The new Zuba is everything I hoped it would be. Looking forward to a long relationship with Walker's.
