Acker Home Inspection

Phil is an excellent and thorough home inspector. He provides a full report with pictures and even after the report is provided he is very responsive to emails and answers all questions. Highly recommended. We are so happy that we hired him to inspect our home.

Had Philip in for new home inspection (30 day form). Second time using his service, and I continue to think it's a great deal. Makes the process easy and gives peace of mind -- well worth it in my opinion. Would not hesitate to recommend to others.

I am very glad I called Phil & Randy over to inspect my home, prior to my 1yr Tarion warranty coverage. Luckily, nothing huge came out of the inspection, but the elements that did, would lead to potential disaster in the future (or future homeowners)... given the exorbitant amount of money homes cost nowadays, I will hold by builder to it!Phil and Randy were very diligent, and the materials provided in the inspection make filling out Tarion forms a breeze.This was well worth the money (which was inexpensive as well) for the piece of mind, the tips and experience. First of all, definitely someone you can trust which means a lot these days with how some contractors and businesses do things. I've used Phil for 4 homes over the past 8-10 years, his work is very professional and he's very knowledgeable.His responsiveness has been always on point or out of this world better then expected. I'm even more impressed about his customer care. Recently I had a concern about an exterior basement wall. I contacted him to have a look and give his opinion. It took only 15 minutes to discuss concerns and plans moving forward and I fully expected to be billed. Because it fit before his work day and was quick, he said it would cost nothing. These types of interactions with professionals are few and far between and it's nice to see some good people still exist.

This is the second time I have asked Phil Acker, from Acker Home Inspection, to conduct a home inspection for one of my homes. This time, Phil did a 30 days inspection for my new house that I purchased through Mattamy Builder. Phil and Randy are very helpful, very professional, very polite as well as meticulous and conscientious about checking everything. They went through the entire house (exterior, interior, heating and cooling system, air conditioner, every single corner in the house..etc). After every step, Phil sat down with me and showed me all the defects that he found in my house that he recorded on his camera. He explained exactly what issues he came across and gave me his advice about how to address the issue. Both Phil and Randy went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction and that my home would be brought to its full potential. Thank you so much Phil and Randy for another amazing job!! Phil was thorough with his inspection on our new construction house. He addressed issues I had already noticed and also detected multiple other defects. He also provided a comprehensive report with photos and a document to submit with my Tarion warranty. Highly recommended

In preparation for our one-year, Phil happily allowed me to follow and observe his inspection so I can learn a few things about our new Minto home in two hours. Not only did he find issues that we knew about but found a few more things that we did not notice.He knows the products that the builder installs. He is very thorough in his inspection. He will then provide you with a report with pictures with a similar template to the Tarion form. He is also willing to receive emails in the evening to answer any further questions that you may have forgotten to ask.I have used him before and I highly recommend his services to anyone.

I highly recommend Phil. We used him before submitting our 1-year Tarion Warranty list for a new build and I wish we hired him sooner. He is so thorough, knowledgeable experienced, patient and kind. His report is clear and easy to read. He takes the time to explain all the hows and whys - and explains everything so well that you feel empowered. There were many, many items our builder lapsed on and we would have had no idea. His knowledge of Tarion is especially helpful as the process seemed daunting, until Phil. His support doesn't end with his report. He's there for you through the whole process. It's clear he truly cares about his clients.
