Ralphel is amazing so very kind and fair. I highly recommend him. Best customer service out there. Don't go anywhere else just come see him and you won't regret it.

Personally, my experience of the shop was great. The guy behind the counter was chill and the shop had a good variety of items.The variety of games that this place sold was one of the best Ive seen at any second hand store. Usually I find the stores sell really cheap low value, low quality games (if you've looked through a second-hand store for games before, im sure you know what i'm talking about). But the game selection I found here was quite excellent. It had quite popular games from pretty much every console. I ended up buying 2 of them at a really nice price (I didnt plan on buying anything before going in the store but the games were just too good of a deal to pass).Other than games, the store sold quite a lot of electronic equipment (game consoles, headphones, earbuds, remote controls, speakers and a few other things). They also sell power tools however I didn't take too close of a look in that section to tell you what it was like.The store also sells some other bigger items which I didnt pay too much attention to (I wan't looking to buy anything big on my visit because I wouldnt want to carry a vaccum cleaner home on transit)Now... the store is in need of some reorganization as the larger items do make the browsing floor seem untidy and a bit crowded, but that would be my biggest complaint. To me, it had no effect on how I saw the store, but I can understand why it would be an issue for other people. (If the owner of the shop is reading this, please reorganise your store. I really think it would help your business.)I read a couple other reviews that said that the store was filthy, but when I went there, I didnt really see the place that way. Yeah there mightve been a bit of dust on some of the higher items that have been untouched for a long time, but filthy? I don't think so. (If the owner is reading this, maybe give your store a wipe down just to be safe, but I dont know. The cleanliness wasnt an issue for me)I also found a complaint about the pawning prices in the review (something about the owner not willing to pay $100 for something that's $110 brand new). I would say that that is just the way that pawn shops work. I remember my first experiences selling stuff to a pawn shop and having my expectations not even close to being met. I would say to save yourself from being let down, watch a video on how pawn shops determine buying prices and why they do so. If you think that your item deserves more than a pawn shop is willing to offer, I would say go to a different pawn shop to see wether the second one will offer more or less (you'll be surprised at how low your items' value is at all pawnshops)There were a few complaints I found in the reviews about the owners' service but on my visit, I had absolutely no problems (maybe I came on a good day, but I cant tell for sure. All I can say is that he was a great helpful guy)And thats about it. I would recommend giving this location a visit.

The place has alright stuff but the guy is pretty rude & quite unpleasant to deal with.. doesn't really make me want to spend any money there. Even if you're there just to buy stuff he acts like you're bothering him, I was in there a couple weeks ago right before closing & he just started the mechanism to close the door & was like 'unless you wanna be in here overnight.....' , which I thought was extremely rude!!!

I've been here when I've needed $, and also when I've had it to spend. The owner has always been extreemly fair with whichever business I come in with. Most gracious pawn shop owner I've ever dealt with. This is my 1 and only Pawn Shop stop!

Honest place did a few transactions even paid with email money transfer and kept my Mcbook pro for another week till I can come to calgary and pick it up.The owner is pretty good guyNo problems here!!!!

Owner is a great guy, offers great rates and is very fair. Made extensions to the loan with no issues whatsoever and even cut me a deal. Thanks for the great service!

It is a small disorganized shop, some shelves. With just random stuff all over. Ive seen garage sales that look better. Its probably the worst pawnshop in the city but they had what i was looking for it was extremely dirty but im not going into a pawnshop expectinga brand new clean item.

I needed a quick short term loan. I had the expectation i might have to shop around pawn shops to find a reasonable valuation on an eclectic set of collectibles and a piece of computer equipment.Raf was in the store, and despite the unusual nature of the items, he spent the time finding a valuation for a loan. He realized the value of the items, and he also spent the time online to find reasonable selling prices as well.My entire dealing with Raf was a pleasant one. He was very cordial and easy to deal with. In the end the valuation on the items for purpose of a loan was right in the ballpark that I had expectations for. Raf saved me a trip shopping around pan shops. I'm glad I visited him first!Great Western Pawn and Raf get two thumbs and 5 stars up for a hassle free, pleasant, and fair dealing. I would highly recommend them!
