Motel Royal

I have stayed at the Motel Royal many times. Marco and Julie are the ultimate hosts. Marco has several times gone above and beyond to ensure our visit is an excellent experience. The Motel Royal is right off the main Trans Quebec snowmobile trail, this is the best place to stay when sledding in the area. Strongly Recommend!

Awesome motel! Super clean rooms, really nice hosts, great views and walking. We also have a big dog and had zero problems or hassle. $10 pet charge. I'll be staying again

Booked a room for a night at this cute motel on my way out to Nova Scotia. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was beyond what I expected for size and cleanliness! I would 100% recommend this place, especially if you have pets. I have a large dog and there was more than enough room for him.I checked my credit card the following day and realized that they had charged me when I paid in cash for my visit, so I called them and they immediately corrected the mistake and refunded my credit card.10/10!!I will definitely be returning to this beautiful place! There is also a cute little park with walking paths and a jungle gym for kids 2 minutes down the road.

We absolutely loved our stay here! When we were turned away at the NB border moving to NS, it was pouring rain and we had to find a dog-friendly place to stay and came across Motel Royal. We are so happy that we found this place as we will be traveling frequently from NS to Ontario and this will be our new go-to place to stay along the way. The owners were so nice and the room was very clean and quiet. It was a great way to end a day that didn't go as planned.

Was very relaxing getaway, beautiful lake view from room and balcony. Rooms were neat and owners were very friendly and welcoming. 2 min walk to Pub fir food.

It's a nice place. The value is in the lakeside view which unfortunately only encompasses some rooms. Unless you were lucky enough to book those rooms, the value of this motel may not be the greatest.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake, only 1.5 kilometres walk to major supermarket. Friendly helpful hosts who were prepared for our special requests in advance.Adequate sized room with Aircon, TV, fridge & microwave presented in clean and tidy way.

Stayed for one night whilst on a road trip. We arrived late night and were tired, and so it was a relief to get a warm welcome and a quiet, comfortable sleep. The room was small but very clean, spotless in fact. Everything we needed for our short stay was there. We got a room with a lake view, so it was nice to wake up in the morning to see it. Parking was easy. Location is great, about a 5min drive off the Trans Can. A great stop off point or base for exploring the local area. Compared to other motels and hotels along our route, this was by far the best value. The only things I was disappointed in was that there was no fresh milk for tea/coffee maker, the TV service was very limited and tricky to navigate, and that the nearby pub/diner is not open for breakfast on weekdays. There is another diner by the highway, but we chose to grab fresh croissants from the local boulangerie instead, and they were yummy.

Its a beautiful view. It seems to be open 24/7, so getting there after 1:30am was no problem. The room we had the mattress were firm (negative or plus you decide). The shower was annoying. Turning the knobs were challenging, they seemed not to work right. Also, if you have long, thick or a lot of hair be prepared to use the tap. The shower faucet itself sucks, my hair felt like it was towel dried. Had to get on my hands and knees to get all the soap out. Overall for a quick sleep to the next destination not bad.
