Kayak Pickering
Affordable rental place for beginners to learn how to kayak in a safe environment. Yes, there is a lot of seaweed in the marina area that you are allowed to Kayak, but you can find some spots that you can blast through and just enjoy the nice weather. The lake part can get choppy and I don't think a recreational kayak would be safe or inexperienced kayakers should boating when the waves or wind is hitting hard. Overall I had a great experience with this place and the staff were very nice and informative. If you are planning to rent, make sure you get there more than 30 mins early (maybe above 45 mins), parking can be brutal on weekends.

They don't allow you from the channel on to the lake. You are only allowed in Frenchman's Bay area where there are a lot of sea weeds

This is to offset the 1 star review which seems unwarranted considering the complaint was about not being allowed out on the lake. As a paddler with 15+ years experience, conditions on the lake can change quickly. Without the proper equipment and experience, it can turn into a dangerous situation. And no, I don't have any affiliation with this business.
