Mezbaan Restaurant
I was there couple weeks ago. Everything was delicious. Very accommodating even though we went just 20 min before closing. Staffs are very friendly. I really wanted to try their lamb shanks but they were all out. It’s gonna be for the next time.

Best afghani cuisine in the city.The kabobs are delicious, juicy, and tender.Service is 10/10 every visit.Michelle our server always greets us with a smile. She’s fabulous.

Delicious, well prepared Afghanistan food. Large servings at a very reasonable price. Rice is not usually reviewed but I would like to say the rice was absolutely delicious. Long grain, loose, not lumpy with very tasty seasonings! Naan bread was fresh and so good. Spinach dish was spicy, with garlic and onion, not over cooked. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Will be going back soon and often. Thank you.

This was our first time trying out Mezbaan while traveling to Ottawa. We ordered their chicken shami kebab plate and half tandoori chicken plate. We upgraded the rice to Qabuli rice. We ordered one drink (a can of pop) that was shared. The quantity and the quality of the good was great! The naan was soft and prepared fresh. Chicken tandoori came apart quite easily and tasted exceptionally good ! Amazing flavors! The chicken shami kebab plate was delicious as well. The whole meal was prepared well and was fresh ! We loved the salad that came with it and the Qabuli pulao unlike the ones that we get in Toronto were well flavored! We love our rice and these people certainly know how to make it. The only thing that gave us quite a bit of shock was the price that we had to pay for the meal. A delicious meal no doubt but a very expensive one (approx $50). I know we upgraded the rice for both the plates but did not expect such a huge difference to come out of it. Other than that the service was very friendly, welcoming and professional. Definitely do recommend them but I do hope they reconsider their pricing !

This cozy restaurant has always amazed us and has always left the best impressions! Hospitable and kind hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, delicious tea and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Amazing food and service even though they were full. We ordered mantu, shami kabob, half chicken tandoori and chicken chaplee. Everything had the right amount of flavor. Also ordered fries for kids, they were fresh and crispy. They use great quality rice. Highly recommended

We were looking for Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan restaurant to try difference food, but not available. So we settled with Afghanistan food.Surprisingly, very good. We order Uzbek rice with lamb, #5, Mantu, and cheese naan bread. Great price, quality food, friendly service, and clean restaurant.We are definitely returning to the restaurant, because there was one dish that almost every table ordered the we did not try.We went back again for dinner and again, great food, great service. We also ordered milk pudding (not sure about the name) and they just gave us as a complementary.10/10

We had a great experience here. Food wasn’t very spicy and therefore my baby also enjoyed.The service was rather dry according to me. I understand the poor ladies serving were tired but that doesn’t mean you serve with a stern poker face.

Their lamb shank is a must try. And the qabelli rice. It’s all very delicious. Great for a casual family dinner or friend date.
