Dr. Cochrane is the best veterinarian we have ever had. He takes such good care of our cats, and always follows up with us as to how they are recovering. He gives good advice and is very compassionate when we have to make tough decisions. We trust him immensely.

We had an emergency when our husky was cut wide open by a rodent in a farm field. We rushed around trying to find a vet late at night. Russell Vet was closed but we didn’t know, knocked, and he took the time to have a look and direct us to the emergency vet in Ottawa (she needed stitches and he couldn’t do that at that point). 5-stars for sure!

7 years ago i brought my cat with a broken hip to this vet. My options were to put him down or pay for a 2000$ dollar surgery or he would not live past 2 years old...i did neither he is now 7.This year i called about a skin condition and he told me that the chances of it healing were minimal treatments were extremely expensive and my best option was to put him down.... this is without seeing him.I went for a second opinion at Embrun vet hospital... after a visit (approx90$) and 3 months treatment(65$) my cat is fine. Happy. Playful. Purring. Eating... normal. Not needing to be put down... i do not recommend this vet... due to lack of empathy and sheer lazyness... due to the fact that he told me to kill my cat twice.

I have had an amazing experience with this vet over the past six months. Thanks to the treatment and care provided the near death kitten I found is all better.

I took my kitten to Dr Cochrane to get her typical vaccines, deworming, checkup etc. He came recommended by a friend, and I was not disappointed. Dr Cochrane is very kind and gentle with his patients, and he expertly explains what procedure he is doing as well as why it is needed. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend his veterinary services!

I just moved from Manitoba was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to find a vet I liked. Dr. Cochrane was great! Very accommodating. The staff was professional and seemed very kind. I'll be going back for sure.

I have had pets for the better part of the last decade and I have found it very hard to find a veterinarian that I could trust. I always felt as though I was being taken in and that the only thing they cared about was how much money they could make out of me. But Dr Cochran is different, he puts his patients first and truly cares about the animals and their well being. I know that when I bring my babies there I know that they will be taken care of so well that I don’t worry about anything except my little buddies and I think that’s really what we should focus on when we go see our veterinarian.

In light of the health units decision to cancel the annual rabies clinics, this vet continues to offer rabies vaccine at special rate.
