Winnie Sewing Studio

Hi,Winnie is a very kind and passionate teacher. We are Muslim and I have actually had some negative experiences with other teachers. My older daughter had taken classes with two other schools. In one of them, she actually blocked my daughter from taking more classes because she was Muslim. With Winni, she is just so sweet and actually made sure to be inclusive and add my second daughters picture (with her headscarf on the main website).Winnie is also very open to suggestions. I wanted my daughter to develop her hand sewing skills and she was very open minded to adding that component to the lessons. And then I was very adamant that my daughter does everything on her own, so Winnie helped make that possible. I just cannot describe to you how sweet and caring she is. She takes these kids seriously and considersa responsibility to give them the best service possible !

My daughter really enjoys her Sunday mornings at Miss Winnie’s. It’s a very happy and calm environment where children can really focus and tap into their creativity and truly learn a life-long skill. Miss Winnie is super sweet and attentive and never lets them go home empty handed.☺️

Winnie is the most patient teacher I have ever experienced among all the teachers with my two girls. She is kind, smarter, experienced and professional in her teaching as well as can customize her class with different age groups or mixed age group. My daughter learned a lot in the past year because of her, my little girl becomes so good at her little hands and be more creative person in her other learning too. I was searching for sewing classes and found Winnie on google. The studio is clean and bright, materials included are good quality . I had zero sewing machine experience before taking this class. After 5 classes, I learned more than expected with Winnie. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and provided a lot of useful information. Amazing value. My daughter loves Winnie’s sewing class! She always comes home with lots of creative/practical sewing works from Winnie’s studio, from hair clip to sofa cushion, and ear rings for Mother’s Day gift! Winner is so patient and always encourages kids. We are so blessed to have this wonderful studio is Richmond :)

I attended Winnie's adult sewing class and she was very helpful to teach me how to sew a tote bag. Her class price is reasonable and I really like the option to drop in as we all have different schedules. Winnie is very organized and plans out the materials/steps in advance to ensure I use my time well. I will be going back to learn more! Thanks Winnie.

My daughter is 6 years old and has been in the Monday session for over a year. She also had her birthday sewing workshop there early this year. I strongly recommend Ms Winnie’s class to anyone who is interested in arts and sewing. My daughter gets very hands on experience using the sewing machine.Class is well organized and fun. We love sewing and Ms Winnie.

Winnie is amazing! She is creative and patient. My 10-year old daughter has made many cute stuffed animals, bags, and several pieces of clothing. She really enjoys Winnie's classes and looks forward to going every week!

Winnie is a very patient and organized teacher. She changes her learning objectives from time to time and has simple steps for kids to follow. She always has smile on her face and kids love her so much. Highly recommended for parties/camps and regular lessons!
