I've lived in the United States all across the map from Wisconsin, California, and Arizona. I've always prided myself with having the knack to to figure things out and repair things. Most hardware stores are welcoming and understanding that many folks need in this era do their own home repairs and may not know the terminology or overall be well informed as construction workers and contractors. But, they always accommodate.For the past year I've been driving into town to get last minute things for projects around the cabin, deck screws, bits, glue, tools, odds and ends for the cabin. The front of the house staff are always welcoming and caring and help out best they can...But the guys who play solitaire on the computer in the back are annoying, they don't give a rats rear end about the needs of the individual small guy DIY customer. So, I never bought my lumber from here.I go there, ask questions about what they got and ask for clarity about what I need and they are often annoyed, not interested and wont bother to help me out or support the project. One time I spent a lengthy time standing there looking at odds and ends while the guy at the desk was really, really into a contractor that was way too small talk for being on the clock. Not sure why he just don't take up the trade instead of gawking at contractors coming there for lumber.As a customer, save your self some time and effort and head to North Battleford Home Hardware, they are often more receptive to the little guy and tend to be more helpful.I am really surprised this place is still open, they most likely surviving on the odds and ends folks don't want to cross the river for, thats the only reason I go there. Overall no help from back desk, I assume it wont last much longer.

Small hardware store with good selection of what you need for the renovation and house projects...patient, knowledgeable and helpful staff... even when they didn't have what I need at the time I still didn't walk out from there disappointed

Great hardware store in Battlford , the staff is usually friendly and very helpful. They don't have the biggest selection in store, but what they don't have can be ordered or you can go across the river to a bigger store.

This store reminds me of the old Mom’n’Pop type shops. For such a small store they seem to have EVERYTHING plus quite a number of unique items/hidden gems tucked away for the true browser to find.The staff are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. If they don’t have it in stock they will gladly order it in for you.
