Below The Belt
I went to the store at guilford location today to return a bag that i purchased yesterday. It was around 11:30am (august 26-Friday). There was only one lady working there and she was extremely rude to me. I told her that i want to return the item and she immediately said I can’t. She wasn’t even explaining anything to me and i was soo confused. She kept rolling her eyes every-time i asked her any question (like she was not happy with me being there). I told her that i have a receipt and the tag for the item. She said that i should read the return policy before coming to the store and that she can’t return my item bcoz the tag is off the item. When i asked her to show me where they mentioned about the tag on the receipt,she aggressively took the receipt from me and started doing something on the computer. I was standing there knowing nothing that was happening. The way she Kept talking and blaming me for purchasing the item that i was going to return the next day, literally brought tears to my eyes. I was about to cry because she was scaring me with her tone. Even i knew that i have a right to return any item that I don’t want, i kept apologizing to her ( which i shouldn’t but again like I mentioned she was scaring me and I didn’t know what else to say). At the end she said “guess i have to help u with this mess”. And i couldn’t speak anything. Then she finally offered me a refund. I came out of the store and cried for 10 minutes. I have heard a lot of bad comments about this store but never expected to experience one with me. This was my first and last time visiting this store. I would not recommend anyone to go to this store. Poor customer service is one thing but scaring the customer with your way of talking is totally next level which is completely unacceptable.

i recently went into your btb guildford location and i asked some of the workers if they carried pink champion slides and they said no very quick however, i was asking for my friend and when she went in to double check she found a whole shelf of them and when she was cashing out, the same workers i spoke to were laughing and joking about how they told me that they didnt have them on purpose. (same day, 30 mins apart)

My sister and I went there the weekend before to look for hats and experience the worst form of customer service. no greeting whatsoever when we walked in, and the guy who works there that Sunday gave us the cold shoulder and answered our questions with uninformative information coupled with rude tone of voice. I worked in retail for years and I agree we may have bad days but it is never an excuse to treat your customer rudely because of it. Management should not ignore this and train their staff on how to provide at least decent customer service.

I went to this location yesterday (Dec 7) to buy gifts for my boyfriend and my little brother, I was looking for a pair of jeans, 3 hoodies and stocking stuffers. When I walked in, the 2 girls who were on the floor didn’t even bother to acknowledge that someone just walked in and just proceeded to keep talking to each other. They didnt ask what I was looking for or if they could help me with anything. I would get it if they were busy but they weren’t, there were only 2 other customers in the store at the time. I tried to look for the jeans and hoodie but I couldnt find them so I had to ask one of the girls, I showed her the picture from their website and she looked confused and said “I don’t know, ask Rebecca” with such an attitude as if I would know who Rebecca is, buffled with this response I didnt say anything and so she added “she’s right there” pointing to where the other girl is instead of actually going to Rebecca and ask herself for help. when I showed Rebecca the picture she was also confused as if I’m not showing something from the store’s website and she said “we don’t have it, try Willowbrook”. I understand that stores don’t always carry what they have online but the way these 2 girls treated me today was just so unprofessional, the way they talk is so rude and unwelcoming, making customers feel like they’re dumb for asking a question/help and they didnt seem like they cared at all. I still purchased 2 hoodies for my brother because he wanted those 2 hoodies specifically and I couldnt find them elsewhere. If I didnt have to buy those hoodies for him I would’ve never bought anything from this store because of these 2 sales associates attitude. I do NOT recommend going to this store unless you already know what you’re looking for and know where to find it because you’re for sure not going to get any help!

Not sure why the staff members choose not to wear masks during this time? Especially being that they are located in a busy mall. I walk by this store at least once a week while doing errands, so whenever I past by, I can see the staff members are not wearing a mask or even have it resting under their chins (if they are needing some air). Earlier this week, I came in to do a return and noticed the staff members are still not wearing a mask. Even as I approached the cash desk, they did not even bother with it. I was too disgusted to even say something. I personally wouldn’t buy anything from here as I don’t feel comfortable knowing the droplets from their noses/mouths are on the clothing items

I went to the Guildford location of Below the Belt on July 2nd, 2023, with my family and there was an associate named Jasmine. She was working all alone with the store being very busy, and she was able to attend to every single customer's needs in a timely manner while still helping customers check out with a smile. I thanked her for being quick and efficient, as did another customer before me. We had been in the store looking for summer outfits for my family, and we had a great experience. This type of customer service is a great example of how stores should train their associates.Thank you Below the Belt.
