Nightmare experience with this company. Discount Appliances Inc is trying to steal $2294.40 dollars from my husband and I, but it will not happen thanks to the legal system in Canada and Nova Scotia. We bought a Samsung tablet fridge/freezer from this company in February. It did not work so they replaced it with a 2nd Samsung fridge/freezer and again that did not work, so yet again they replaced it with a 3rd, yes a 3rd Samsung tablet fridge/freezer. Yet again the 3rd one did not work, we lost hundreds of dollars of food. We asked them to pick up their 3rd Samsung fridge/freezer and give us a refund. They agreed and came and picked the Samsung Fridge and Freezer up and agreed to refund us. I received an email confirmation and phone call on April 3rd saying we would be refunded in 30 days time. We NEVER received our money back on May 3rd. Today is May 19th and I have been chasing our money down and they been giving me the merry go around. We demand to receive our money back as Discount Appliances Inc are displaying they are thieves. They now have their rubbish appliance back and they are holding our money. We demand our money back as we have everything in writing you have acknowledged your appliances do not work and you are holding our money. Give us back our refund as you agreed on April 3rd. We are ready to go through the legal system if you keep behaving so unprofessionally. STOP STEALING from hardworking Nova Scotian Canadians.

I purchased 4 appliances and 2 won't work. Since day one. Dryer came without a piece that flyed into the highway during transport and never worked. The transport was a guy recommended by the shop, the even wrote his name in the ticket, but always said it was a third party. Bought it Saturday to be delivered Tuesday. It came next Saturday at 8 pm.The washer never worked neither. The first time it was on it didn't drain or spin.I called multiple times and I went there. No answer. Or the manager is not here because they work morning if I went or call in the afternoon or the manager works afternoon if I call morning.They blame it on the house, that it was too old and I needed an electrician. Electrician came and said there was no problem with the electricity. So I paid the electrician yo tell me everything was ok.After they scheduled an online appointment with a technician. The technician told me it was impossible for me to repair and that shop was scamming people selling stuff that did not work. He send me that in writing by email. He was tired of dealing with people in the same situation as mine from the same shop. He told me to sue them. He was the one who told about fake reviews saying it was a good shop. Easy to spot them, just few reviews at the same time and the one for the shop is 5 stars. I could spot several and some were even answered by the owner!Also, the stove lights are not working. The stove is working, but not the lights that says if it's on or off.Since I bought the washer and dryer it has been 2 weeks and nobody did anything to solve the problem. I just want what I paid for. They don't wanna come to fix it or pick it up. Nothing. No solution. I am really frustrated knowing that they do that regularly.

Hands down some of the best customer service I’ve ever received! Was desperate to find a fridge and stove, and gave this place a shot. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff and they worked patiently with us to determine the best options given our budget. Couldn’t find a better deal in HRM, so glad we purchased here. Excellent warranty as well!

Absolute WORST customer service. Purchased a fridge and after getting it in discovered it DID NOT work !!!!Called store and they said I’d have to bring it back. Had to purchase a brand new fridge because tenant would of had no fridge overnight and then I was told the next day there was no refunds… only in store credits !!!!Oh… and fridge was a complete mess to start with. Was NEVER testedI’m disgusted with this store and it’s attitude. DO NOT GO THERE !!! Scammers !

I wish I could say good things about this place, because they have potential, but my experience was not great.I bought a stove, as they have better prices with a few scratches or what not.The stove said it was tested, and the salesman showed me everything except the induction top, as he didn't have a pot to test it.Seeing he said the induction top was just recently replaced, I trusted it would work.I Transport it home to realize, it does not work.After contacting them the following day, telling them the issue, they said they could either fix it, but they don't have the parts and I would have to wait a few weeks or take a refund.I went for the refund, and brought it back that day...After harassing them for my money, and them ignoring my calls, They only then gave me my refund 2 weeks later.There definitely were more issues than one control board they stated was the issue, as it wasn't assembled right, when you could see the numbers behind the induction glass, not lining up with the window.Make sure you test everything before you buy anything here

In the past few years, I have purchased two appliances through Discount Appliances. Today, after failed attempts to deal with another retailer's extended warranty, I was able to find the ignition part that I needed to repair my relatively new propane oven that was purchased elsewhere.The staff in both sections of the store are not only knowledgeable but also very friendly and have a super work ethic. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs a replacement appliance or part to repair what they have.

Bought a Samsung Tablet fridge freezer from them in February paid $2200. Plus paid extra for a warranty. Before delivery I was told by Pooyan the fridge freezer purchased was not freezing properly, he then offered an alternative. The alternative was another Samsung Tablet Fridge Freezer, once this was installed at my home, within a week, the freezer stopped working and I lost all my food. They took this back and replaced it with another Samsung Tablet Fridge Freezer apparently brand new. Once installed it had an error code 401 which was reported 3 times. Then the whole freezer and fridge completely stopped working, losing all the food again. They eventually agreed to collect the fridge freezer and said that a full refund would be given within 30 days. This has not happened, the management are not responding. They have the broken fridge freezer and my cash. If payment is not received today, the small claims court is my only option. This company now has poor reviews from the Better Business Bureau. If you want a decent appliance, go to a main reputable store during a sale. I do not recommend this store.

I bought a Kenmore dryer from Discount Appliances Inc. They answered all my questions; it works great; I paid a fair price ; even came with a warranty and got it same day. You can't ask for more than that. So glad I didn't waste money buying new.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Pooyan. He was very efficient, and very quick to reply to my questions.Not to mention, they shipped it for free to my home city, the price was also very attractive.
