I had hoped to never have to do this but I need to speak my mind. It seems the more and more I eat here I start to notice so many glaring issues. I really just don't know how to explain it, so I am just going to start.It seems this restaurant constantly forgets stuff on delivery items such as the tempura sauce for the gyoza (gotta eat dry gyoza) or the wasabi, ginger and soy sauce (gotta eat plain sushi). I find it hard to imagine that you guys forget the most basic and important items when it comes to delivery. It also seems that the quality has gone down as well. What used to be filling gyozas are now just a battered shell with a tiny bit of meat. My last batch I questioned if there was any meat at all. The sushi and sashimi get smaller. One day you get a nice big piece of salmon, the other day it's super tiny. The consistency is just so off. The wonton soup will one day have a flavorful broth and another time it will taste like water. This use to be my spot but I just can't support this anymore. It's sad because it was so close to home and reasonably priced but I am going to have to find another joint.

I been coming here for a while now. Much better than all you can-eat around here and is actually cheaper at the end if I purchase the tray. Quiet and friendly.This is probably my favorite spot around here when it come to sushi.

Never judge a book by its cover! Food was fresh, and very nice staff.I only removed a star its because in total, the food was overpriced.But was worth the try! I can guarantee Ariake is the best sushi restaurant in this neighborhood.

Short and simple! This place gives you crab sticks " ( the processed garbage ones that you'll get in lowest end sushi places) in a 50 cad sashimi platter. Drive on other mile and you will get better quality sushi/sashimi. Never again in this "hole"."

Went here and it’s a small and cute place!The service was quick and the lady was really kind. I had no issues with my meal. I came for lunch and thought the prices were pretty good and fair.Tofu teriyaki: loved the tofu! The onions and cabbage underneath were the perfect texture not too salty. The yam sushi was still crunchy from the tempura and the texture of the rice was great!Chicken teriyaki: I didn’t eat this one but I had some of the sashimi. They were thick pieces and really nice!

This place was good. The decor was really cute and we got seated in the “little private rooms”. We both got the dynamite roll combo I believe and I upgraded mines with avocado. The workers were really kind so it made up for the okay sushi. I don’t know if it was just how the batch of rice that day but it was on the dryer side. Overall a good experience and I wouldn’t mind coming back here if I was in the area.

One of the best sushis in my lifeI got Salmon Mountain Roll and it was second to none.I definitely recommend this place as the staff are really kind and considerate. The sushi was absolutely fresh and the portions were more than enough.

Ariake Japanese Restaurant
Unpretentious family-run business with better quality sushi than most in the neighbourhood. Their forte is a consistently great, basic sushi menu which is well prepared and delicious tasting. If your preference is for great variety in the types of sushi or perhaps all-you-can-eat, you might prefer to look elsewhere. I enjoy Ariake Sushi and will keep coming back.

One roll per person is enough to get full, even at dinnertime. The rolls are huge with a great rice to filling ratio. And such variety! Big lunch specials. Great miso soup.My go-to a la carte sushi spot!
