Concorde Apartments

Despite the some others review, I had a good experience to live here for 20 days. Everything was normal. There wasn’t bed bug on our unit at all. I didn’t encounter the staffs much. But for sometime that I saw, they were okay and polite.

I have lived in this building for 7 years now and i have had my fair share of issues with past management but even then we could get to an understanding, now this is just plain ridiculous. We live in this place, we pay for rent, we have a mailbox, wait, 2 maikboxes if we count the canada post one. We get harassed and spoken to in an ill tone for parking and what is on our balconies but we can't even receive deliveries without the building staff carelessly leaving them in an open pile in the lobby for all to take. That's ridiculous. They come with new systems to force in place but quite litterally throw people's belongings in a pile in an open area to all. Even those who do not live in said building...People live here, real lives, real lives and it should feel like a home not a place where you feel pressured simply because you live there. I have the right to have my belongings not thrown in random places without my consent and so do we all.

I have been here since 2015, and i just love it here. The floor plans are awesome, the property well kept, all concerns are addressed! Great staff - always! I am very clean and organized so the textiles used in all these units -bathroom flooring-cupboards you name it are definately above standard compared to other apartment buildings in ottawa who use cheap textiles. Easy maintenance and cleanliness looks like i just moved in ! Whether you are single or have a family, this is a great location! Rents are very reasonable peace of mind and alot of nice open space.

This place used to be managed properly, but since a new couple started managing in 2013 it has gone down hill. Sometimes you have to submit three requests to have any repair done. There was bedbugs issues since the new managers have appeared. In the winter, like the previous reviewer said, heat is generated from Toronto, so your apt. will always be on the cold side. Snow removal is almost non existant now and is always late. Don't be fooled by the lobby. The lobby is always cleaned and revamped to give the building a nice image, but beyond that loby, everything is a mess. The laudry rooms still have equipment dating back to the early 1990s... and the wait for an elevator will drive you nuts after a few months... avoid at all costs!

The Resident manager, Deborah Pearson, told my friends that they had to pay their rent until June 30th…. And then sent a collections agency after them to pay rent for the month of July. Despite having this agreement stated in an email from Deborah, there is apparently no cost friendly legal route that either of them can take to remedy the situation . This residence is taking advantage of two young people without the means or the resources to fight. Now my friends have to pay for an entire month of rent for a place they haven’t lived in for nearly two months. How is this not illegal? Anyone considering living here should seriously look elsewhere. This place isn’t worth the stress.

I lived at the Concorde for eight years. Doug and Debbie were really nice. When I had issues with an individual who did not live there, they made changes to the garage door locks to ensure my safety and everyone else's as he had found a way to get in with a card / key he had from his job. I moved out because it was work related. I loved that place.

Great Apartment complex. Although it did take a while to get the second elevator going, its a great place to live. Very quiet area. Office staff are great and very friendly. Staff organize activities for the building to make the tenant feel welcome. Great place to live!

They have water issue EVERY MONTH!You can't control the heat, only how hot you want. Not quiet at all. Slides doors are precarious.Not a good place to live for a long time.

Worst experience living in 981 Gulf Pl (Concord Apartments). The management is horrible, the managers are rude, never listens to your concerns despite saying it hundreds of times. They are ignorant. They don't fix anything in the apartment and when reminded they will only get angry with you. They are not in the office most of the times even before covid. Always issues with water and heating. Laundry room has old washing machines and some of them does not even work most of the times. There is bedbugs issue in these apartments. Despite all these issues the rent is high. Avoid this place if possible.
