M&J Aquarium

The rimless aquarium tanks are the best value I could find in Toronto. The glass is low iron, crystal clear, and the silicon work is very professional. I would definitely recommend their tanks.

Bit of a mixed bag. I bought this gorgeous little guy from M&J last month. There was pretty good selection in terms of livestock, and prices were great. The store hardware was dusty and dirty, but the tanks themselves were nice and clean. The livestock in the tanks seemed pretty healthy, too.The bettas, however, were in cups, and I spent the first three weeks with this guy in quarantine, treating him for a severe bacterial infection and epistylis infestation that he came with out of his cup. I'm positive he would have died had treatment been delayed for another day or two. I kept him precisely because I did not want him to die. He's doing well in his planted display tank now and has amazing personality.Tl;dr: absolutely do not skip quarantine with the livestock.Update: the fish developed organ failure/dropsy overnight after being symptom-free for a few months. Lack of other infection symptoms most likely points to internal damage from his previous illness, especially in conjunction with the neurological signs he displayed over time. It did not respond to treatment and I had to euthanize. I can't recommend the livestock in good faith.

The owner of the shop helped me with the setup of my filter quickly. Very knowledgeable and straight forward replies. Lots of varieties of fish on display to choose from.

This guy knows his fish. A lot of fishkeeping advise is trial and error, but listening to MJ, he has been right about a lot of issues we have experienced. Great place to start this wonderful hobby!

Wonderful store. It feels very casual and comfortable. I bought 5 angelfish on two separate trips and the owner was very friendly and efficient. I like that he didn't rush or pester me, but was attentive. He also fed the fish I was looking at which gave me a chance to see their feeding response. The angelfish are doing amazing now, and they look stunning. Definitely my new favorite place to visit!

Just bought this fish today :) wide variety to select from. The price was reasonable and the owner was really helpful. He helped me choose a tank, fish pellets and everything else i needed. This little guy is absolutely gorgeous!

Great fish store for your African cichlids I've purchased several African cichlids from the store. The only reason why I don't give it five stars is because I wish it was a little cleaner but other than that they have a great variety of fish at a reasonable price

Dont buy fish from here ! They have disease called ich and because of that all of my fishesh died !! This place does not take good care of their aquariums and fishes!! See pictures of the aquarium at this place!! So sad!! Does not even remove died fishes from the aquarium!! And the owner is so rude !!
