Better for mountain biking than walking where the Jack Pine or Lime Kiln trails are more scenic. The last half of the east side trail coming back to the parking lot was almost impassible due to puddles and deep mud, but that might be typical for early May.

Great trail to run...there’s a 10.5km loop from any of the parking spots off Moodie or HuntClub. Jack Pine to Lime Kiln to Beaver trail and back to the start is my go to route. Did you know that one could run to Kingston from these trails? Amazing!

NCC Trail 26
Parked at P11 and walked trail 26. It goes through the forest & crosses the power line corridor. This is a very lovely walk. Some spots on the trail are uneven, roots & rocks. Just need to pay attention when walking. Some interesting mossy rocks & a foundation hidden in the forest are just some of the interesting things to observe. Starting to see fall colours in the foliage.

One of my regular haunts. Beautiful trail. Lots of chickadees to hand feed, squirrels and chipmunks too - but require more patience. A pilleated woodpecker makes an occasional appearance, but you don't want to hand feed this terrifying beast.

I don't thing I've ever seen so many robins all at once... especially in January... Lovely trail, don't forget to bring some bird seed for the friendly chikadees...

September 20, 2020Overall, an easy hike. Although sometimes muddy, the trail itself is surrounded by trees, except for a small crossing over an open field. The parking is limited; get there early to get a spot.

One of my favourite trails to feed the chickadees. There are a bunch of trails that link up around here so make sure you remember which lot you parked in.
