Lily on the Thames - DIY Wedding Flowers

Absolutely in love with how the flowers turned out on my wedding day! I picked the whites, creams and greens DIY package, and it was totally worth it. Not only was it such a great bonding experience to put together the bouquets with the girls, but each bouquet looked so unique. My bridal bouquet looked so beautiful and it showed in the pictures! I would definitely recommend ordering from Lily on the Thames. The whole process was so smooth.

Could not recommend Lily on the Thames any more. Alida was great to work with and selected gorgeous flowers based on my custom colour scheme.The girls and I had so much fun the day before the wedding building our flower creations with the easy to follow recipe cards and tutorials. I couldn’t believe how many flowers I had in my package - I got the large package and had enough for bouquets for the 6 bridesmaids and I, corsages, boutonnières, arbor decor, 54 (!!!) bud vase centrepieces PLUS a bonus two large flower arrangements with the stems and greenery that were leftover. Guests couldn’t believe we built it ourselves and couldn’t have done it without Alida’s expertise. Thank you so much!

When you read reviews of other peoples wedding flower dreams coming to life they weren’t joking. Alida is so professional and available at ANY moment if you have questions. The videos provided are so easy to follow that even someone who has zero experience with flowers (I literally can’t keep plants alive to save my life) can put together the most beautiful areangements. Every single person at my wedding, including my venue staff, were in awe of the florals. I had guests fighting over the extra arrangements because they wanted to take them home. This is the most cost effective way to achieve the most beautiful florals for any special day.

Lily on the Thames was an absolute delight to work with and the process of getting the florals was SO easy!! You just order them online and they take care of the rest. The videos and resources on how to create the bouquets were so helpful & if you're worried about whether or not the arrangements are going to look good, don't be! It really does come together so well (and the florals are so beautiful that you really can't go wrong)!I was absolutely in love with our florals and can’t believe how wonderful they looked on the day!! I was a bridesmaid this weekend for my brother and his beautiful wife… when the bride told us we’d be doing flowers I didn’t know what to expect- but I was excited! Lily on the Thames blew my away- everything was SO organized, recipes, instruction videos (which were so well done and encouraging) and the obvious piece …the flowers were SO GORGEOUS. We did bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, table flowers and my sister in law did the arch that they got married under all with these flowers. Such a great experience!! Would highly recommend ❤️

I am so pleased with my experience with Lily on the Thames! Alida was so kind and knowledgable. The instructions were clear and managable, and my mum and I had a great time preparing the bouquets! We even had enough leftover flowers to do a some table arrangements and decorate our cakes.

This is a great idea for couples who are looking to save a little bit of money on flowers for their wedding! Doing our flowers ourselves was such a big part of our wedding experience and we're so glad we worked with Alida to bring our vision to life. Alida is extremely professional, organized, and quick to respond with any of our inquiries! We had so many compliments throughout the day and our guests couldn't believe we did them ourselves.

Wow, this was such a great experience! So happy to have found Lily on the Thames to DIY my wedding flowers. By far one of the favorite parts of the run-up to our wedding day and a part I will always remember. Alida is such a sweetheart and was SO fast to respond to any questions or inquiries I had. I panic emailed Alida in the middle of the night after trimming all of the florals to hydrate the night we received them, absolutely convinced I had done everything wrong and ruined everything. She responded with the exact calming words I needed to hear for when I got up the next morning so I could get myself together (big coffee in hand!) to go and arrange everything with my friend-and-family army that day, feeling much more confident.For my mid-November wedding, we went with the “custom color palette” for my florals. With that went a wishlist for specific blooms/greenery and a visual color palette I made (2 primary and 4 accent colors, with inspiration photos of some arrangements/bouquets) that I was envisioning. Alida took that color scheme & wishlist and made it a reality with spectacular bloom and greenery choices for our arrangement ingredients within the budget parameters of the package. We ordered a lot of flowers - a large package, urn decor and some extra baby’s breath but we wanted a LOT of arrangements! With that ordered, we made: 8 large centerpieces, 6 medium centerpieces, 24 smaller centerpieces, 2 big ceremony urns, 2 smaller ceremony urns, 1 bridal bouquet and 4 bridesmaid bouquets. Her flexibility, open communication, and very fast follow-up to concerns throughout the entire process of ordering, designing, and arranging my wedding florals made it all such a shockingly smooth process. I felt a little apprehensive booking with a brand new business in early 2021, but I had a vision and it felt like my only option to have what I wanted for florals within my budget. It was also very important to us to support small, local businesses whenever possible in planning our wedding. I am so thankful we took the leap.Alida literally made my wedding flower dreams come true and brought my vision to life. There is absolutely NO WAY I could afford to execute my vision for my wedding otherwise. Florals were the focal point of my décor and Alida's business model has filled a gap in the Canadian wedding market that was hugely lacking for brides like me with a modest budget but a big vision.As a disclaimer, I did supplement my package with some foraged greenery to stretch it a bit further, but with my large DIY wedding floral package + 1x urn add-on, I managed to prepare 20 centerpieces, 6 huge urns, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, a gigantic bridal bouquet, numerous corsages and boutonnieres, and some decorative touches/easel arrangements/add-ons to a floral installation. Having some experience with florals, I did not follow the provided recipes exactly but I can promise you that ANYONE can put together their florals and make stunning arrangements. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the prep package and Alida's tutorials and information are concise and easy to follow. It does take some time commitment but for me it was 1000% worth it to budget this time into my wedding week (I suggest planning for 4-5 hours for prep on the day you receive your florals, and a full day of arranging depending on your package size/number of arrangements). As an added bonus, it was a fun bonding experience with my bridesmaids. As you can probably tell, I can not say enough good things about Lily on The Thames and Alida. Please book with her.
