I almost don't want to leave a good review cause more people will go there. Amazing bakery. Buns for the best burgers in the world.You could put grocery store burgers in these and people would rave about them. Kids picky about lunches? Give them bread from here. No more complaints. Meats and cheeses too. Staff is super friendly.

Tried their croissants and buns. Both were awesome. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the store was clean. There aren't many bakeries that do egg free buns. They do. Will be visiting again.

Bun King Bakery
I bought three things at Bun King; mini butter tarts, a blueberry muffin and a fruit bread. The tarts were the same quality as packaged tarts at a grocery store, the muffin was more the quality of something you can buy at a convenience store (yuck) and the fruit bread probably would have been nice but it was underdone and doughy. Half of it had to be thrown away. I think they should stick to making buns!

Their buns and loaves of bread are phenomenal! I especially love it when you go in there and the bags are still warm because the buns have just come out of the oven. I also love the smell of the fresh buns baking away every morning before opening time to the public when I walk past. They also have quite the selection for desserts. If you ever want to have one of the best butter tarts around, they offer pecan and raisin filled butter tarts that will make you want to eat the whole package in one sitting. So delicious!! Bun king also has a wide variety of deli meats and they offer excellent customer service.

Can't even get buns there anymore. 3 times in last few weeks they've had no bun, only 2 loaves of bread. Won't waste time anymore, will had straight to Metro.

I often shop at Bun king and the experience has been nothing less than exceptional, all the ladies who work there are always so friendly and helpful, Bun king definitely has the best buns in town!!

I went there on a Tuesday. They supposedly bake fresh daily, according to the sign just outside the store. I purchased macadamia nut cookies from them that were hard and brittle and quite stale. Very disappointed in the cookies - you can buy better ones from the grocery store or coffee shop. I should have known from the fact that the package didn't have a best before date, nor did it indicate when they were actually baked.The cherry strudel I bought there, on the other hand, was delicious and just right. 2 thumbs up for the strudel!Unfortunately, my cookie experience left a sour taste in my mouth, so I'm giving this a 2-star rating.

I was driving through Bowmanville on the way to a family reunion and needed a last minute gift. Very glad to have stumbled into this Bakery. The service was great, and the two cakes I bought were both affordable and delicious (lemon cake and banana cake). Highly recommend!

I've been going here for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The store is clean and the baked goods are always fresh. The deli selection has everything i need and I especially love the holiday goods. Make sure you place big orders in advance though they are so busy. So few places like this left!!
