Benchmark Inspections

We purchased a home that had been ‘inspected’ by this company twice in just a few years. The inspections missed significant, highly visible problems that never should have been overlooked, namely out-in-the-open asbestos materials, dangerous electrical, and plumbing. Having used other inspectors in the past, we can say that the thoroughness and quality of the reports from Benchmark are lacking, especially in regards to the issues above. These were not hidden defects by any means, but conveniently made no appearance in both inspections. If these issues were ‘missed’ to appease the agent / sellers, then that’s so unethical it’s not even funny. But it seems odd that an inspector would miss such blatant issues twice in a row on the same house.It’s telling that this is the only review on Google and, on Facebook, the “5 Star” rating is from 4 reviews, 2 of which are spam about stock traders and the other 2 from realtors.
