Sheps Dermatology Clinic

I saw Dr Sheps for the first time today. I had to wait an hour after my scheduled appointment to see him but had the day off, so no big deal. His assistant was kind and Dr Sheps was warm and professional and took the time to deal with my issue.

Called to book an appointment and the receptionist was horribly rude, I was honestly so surprised because nobody at a medical facility has ever talked with so much attitude before. I was shocked. She talked to me as if I was stupid and gave horrible attitude, I do not recommend coming here. I’m really upset.

My review is not based on the receptionists not wearing masks when patients and doctors do.Dr. Tran is kind and professional. I was in and out with follow-up appointment booked in 20 minutes. All my questions were answered and I brought everything, that I use, with me. She looked at me thoroughly and took a very small biopsy. She emailed my prescription to my pharmacist right away.Receptionists we’re both attentive, polite, and professional. I was in line for Dr. Tran’s receptionist and the other one asked me if my appointment was with Dr. Tran.I was referred here by my doctor in August and my appointment was this morning. That’s expected when you see a specialist or dermatologist. Well worth the wait.Very impressed, highly recommended. Thank you Dr. Tran.

There was a mix up in my appointment time but the receptionist fit me in anyway which was greatly appreciated. Dr. Sheps was professional, attentive and personable.

0 stars staff is very disrespectful and condescending. I walked in without a mask. I apologize, immediately. I ask for one to comply obviously. because postage says it’s “mandatory” Meanwhile the entire front line isn’t wearing a face covering.I’m here to take my elderly mother to an appointment. So I go sit down and my mum checks in, The receptionist then complains to my mother that I should have stayed outside because I had no mask. EVEN THOUGH THE RECEPTIONIST ISN’T WEARING ONE.Also most if not all clinics, hospitals, supply a mask for you if you do not have one. Which today is common. So this receptionist is getting annoyed and rude at every person who walks in without one and asks for one. She asked one patient if she had one in her car. Even if she did she would not go all the way back down to her car and come all the way back. Just give her a mask.The audacity. Grow up.

Everyone here is reviewing the admin as if this is her business.. it's not.Can we keep the reviews specified to the dermatologists? Might be more helpful... Here's my review...Dr shepps saw me when I was dealing with minor issues. He has been great and transparent in what my directions are and what I should be using/doing to better improve my situation. I've never had an issue with him...His secretary also talked me into staying and I can say she is a true gem to that office. If you take the time out to be nice to these people, rather than get mad for waiting, you'll see it for yourself. Their service is really good and they are incredibly friendly.

I booked an appointment 5 months in advance. I arrived at 9:30 for a 9:40 appointment and was advised by the incredibly rude receptionist that my appointment was for 8:40. I double checked by phone and assured her that I believe it was for 9:40. This particularly vile human advised me too bad

Do not listen to the negative reviews here if you actually care about your skin. Dr. Sheps is probably the best derm. In the city: So of course he is busy, but the receptionists are lovely people and he is an absolute expert in his field. You might have to wait to see him but the wait is worth it. I’ve dealt with many physicians and Dr.Sheps is the only dermatologist I would trust to help treat my skin disorder. There simply isn’t anyone more experienced or knowledgeable in Winnipeg. If you want the best , then this is the physician you need to see. In terms of knowledge, treatment, and experience , there is no one that can compare.

I had a similar experience to someone who was told the wrong appointment time. I was told the wrong date. I showed up and they told me my appt was last week. No text or email notice about it. I've tried calling to rebook but the phone number doesn't seem to work, so I'll be trying somewhere else. I can't comment on the doctors as I've never seen any.

Kind staff, also Dr was willing to help anyway. Will be comfortable if I ever go there again.
