Bowmont Park

Very beautiful park in the NW area

Beautiful park for families where you can walk or push strollers or wheelchairs through easily. The path is shared with bikes so just be careful. There is a one way street to the parking lot which leads to the park. Benches are available along the path by the river. We saw so much wildlife and flora. This is also home to the osprey nest.

Excellent easy going nature walk!The walk starts off a little boring and mostly boring hills but once you’re in the actual park it’s a very nice nature walk.You can go to the pond first if you’d like but you can skip the pond and go straight to the river for more nature action. Staying on the paved path will lead you to the river. Explore mini trail walks in and around the park, it’s fairly easy to get back on track so don’t worry too much about getting lost.We went here on May 2020 and the fences weren’t locked as well so you can explore more if you wanted to. Sunset walks are the best here!You’ll see some wild life for sure like ducks, geese, birds and beavers! Definitely recommend going here and exploring for a couple of hours.

I love this park. On the surface it is a short walk (10 mins) but more space if you go off the path

What a beautiful place to take your family down for a walk and the path is very well maintained. The kids loved all of the different insects and flowers that you see along a path and there a little tiny creeks and waterfalls. The sounds around you are birds chirping and running water and you can't get better than that. At the end of the path there is an overlooking small deck looking over the Bow River which is beautiful as well. Enjoy!!!!

Beautiful in every season, fun for dog walking, trail running, mountain biking, or just to stop and take in the views of the river and mountains. Big enough that it never feels crowded - even during busy times you can get away by yourself. We are blessed to have such a wonderful nature retreat right within the city.

Beautiful place to walk and explore the nature!! Great place to walk your dog (off-leash park) but make sure you bring water and keep your fur baby on leash if need! :P Very peaceful and calm❤️

When entering the trail from the east, you are treated to a beautiful view of the Bow River and COP. The trail has a hill that descends gently enough for young children to bike in and out with some effort. There are picnic tables and benches in multiple locations to take in the views (look for comical quotes on the bench plaques). At the bottom of the hill are marshes and catwalks across them. The cattails and grasses are gorgeous; the birds are vocal in the evening and quite active. Another gem within Calgary City Limits!
