Alamo Rent A Car

Very poor customer service. The rental car broke down on the highway which isn't anyone's fault. However after following the instructions of the roadside assistance and leaving the car there, we drove 50km to the Ottawa Airport Alamo outlet. At the airport they would not give us a replacement until the broken down car had been towed. It took over 5 hours to get the car towed. There was no customer service and horrible communication within their organization. What was supposed to be a nice vacation evening turned into a horrible experience and waste of an evening.

Poor customer service.Booked a mini van but they ran out of minivan. I also booked a car seat but the guy at the counter kept suggesting to use a booster instead, which is not even legal for age and weight of the child.He also messed up my receipt.I would not recommend Alamo or National.

Very poor customer service at Airport location.I’m not sure how all this google reviews made of mentioned only one representative name (Faud). My experience were extremely bad out of thousands cars I have rented all over Canada. This representative had full of attitude and was on a power trip while taking the car, he even started insulted me because I was able provide 2nd phone number and during returning the car they didn’t brother to step out from the office even I offered the person to come out. I had to make a video and take lots of pictures since theses people aren’t trustworthy. This is probably the last time to visit this location.

My experience with Alamo was smooth and very efficient and the customer service was exceptional.Moe recognized I had a tough day with flight delays and did what he could to make my day better, without any request. It’s nice to see customer service that goes above and beyond!

2 months ago I reserved a car from the Regina airport with Alamo at a price which was already significantly more than it would have been a year ago. Today I received an email (less than 24 hours before the pickup time)telling me that Alamo had unilaterally cancelled my reservation for tomorrow. I called Alamo head office and was assured that the contract was still in place and they sent me a confirmation to that affect. Just to be sure, I called the Regina airport office and was told flat out that the contract was cancelled because they didn't have a car available for me which left me stranded. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told no one was available. When I asked if other reservations had been cancelled I was told that they were not and could not explain why my reservation was cancelled. I called Alamo head office again and was told that there were cars available and that I could reserve a car through them but at 3 times the cost of what I had originally agreed to pay. So. It would appear that because I reserved a car ahead of time to secure a good rate, I got bumped so that someone else or me for that matter could reserve a car at the last minute and pay 3 times the price. This is a SCAM. Renters beware. I am absolutely appalled that this company is able to abuse their clients with impunity.

Getting the vehicle was simple. We had pre checked in online and given all our info needed. The young gentleman was very friendly and helpful. We got a great car and had zero issues. Returning the vehicle after hours was equally simple. We’ll use Alamo again for sure

Had a terrific experience with Alamo at Ottawa Airport. The team were all so friendly and efficient. Stress free and professional. Tianna the customer service rep was so genuine and kind. She even remembered (when I returned the car) that I came to Ottawa to surprise my mother with a visit. Excellent attention to detail. Thank you.

Seamless experience! Both staff members who I dealt with for check in and check out were incredibly kind and helpful. Alamo will be my go-to rental from now on!

Not great but decent. Had a really toughtime with using (denied) my debit card for picking up a car rental. Without a credit card that I unfortunately forgot to bring in from the USA, was just plainly denied to accept debit card. Crazy. Other than that it was a smooth experience.

Staff were great, it was the most affordable option with CAA and they got the car to us early by a day.
