His presentation was well-structured, informed with insights from his professional experience and extremely clear to follow along. Joe Chu is a professional and knowledgable instructor. His course is very well-structured, followed by his personal stories from years of experiences in the field and made it very easy for his students to follow. Aside from the fundamental theories, Joe made sure everyone had sufficient hands-on practices with handling the guns safely.I was nervous going to the course without any prior experiences, but Joe made it very pleasurable. I truly admire his passion with firearms and would highly recommend this course and Joe to everyone!

Joe was able to compact all the course materials into a single day in a very structured format, and the class don't feel rushed at all, which is pretty impressive. Loved how he shared his personal experience from the police and hunting days with relations to the course topics, throwing in tips & tricks on how you can be a better firearm owner. You would definitely have the mindset of FIREARM SAFETY drilled into your head upon leaving the class. And of course loved his dry humor throughout the class too~lol. Highly recommend this course!

I attended the course for the Non-Restricted PAL and the instructor was Joe Chu. I would highly recommend this course and instructor to anyone that has need or interest in getting a PAL license. Joe came to the course very well prepared, the material was engaging and relevant, the class was structured to maximize learning and the day - though long - went by quickly. The facilities were very comfortable.Though I have been a hunter for many years, I found the course material was interesting and informative, it was a solid refresher of important and critical safety measures and I felt it was a day very well spent.Top notch rating from me!Stewart Bauck

Looking to acquire your PAL + RPAL along with proper firearm safety knowledge? Joe and Tai will smash your expectations out of the park. Attended the June 2021 intake with my wife and father-in-law. All of us had zero knowledge prior to the course and left with a wealth of wisdom. Both instructors have extensive firearm experience under the VPD along with other associations. The delivery of content was phenomenal breaking down complex concepts with ease. From beginning to end, the whole experience was very enjoyable and nonintimidating. If you’re planning on obtaining your license soon, this course should be your only option. Guaranteed you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Our instructors Raphael and Joe were both excellent instructors; very knowledgeable, professional and down to earth. Both he and Joe made the course material easy to understand, were very thorough and setup a great practical session to familiarize ourselves with the various firearms. Not surprisingly, everyone in the class passed easily. Top notch experience, highly recommended.

This course was thorough and very helpful for someone who wants to be a principled owner of firearms. The instructors, Joe and Tia are clearly experienced, professional, personable and sometimes even pretty funny. The course material was broken down in manner that was easy to understand. Even though it was only a two day course, I really know that I learned a lot and feel the value of this course was not just essential, but a great experience. I’m highly recommended our instructor Joe and the course. I was worrying that I won’t be able to catch up the lesson because I only came to CANADA for a few years. But Joe was so professional and explained so well. I’m glad I had a good instructor to learn these fundamental safety knowledges!!!!!

Joe’s class was not only informative but also incredibly fun and enjoyable! He is clearly passionate about safe firearms practice and it was well reflected through his teachings.The content in Joe’s powerpoint slides was concise and complemented well with his verbal elaborations. Even if you aren’t taking notes during the class, as long as you pay attention to what Joe is saying/showing then you are likely to succeed in the final tests. A large portion of the day is dedicated to the powerpoint slides but students are also given lots of time to practice handling guns of various ‘actions’. Despite being inexperienced with firearms prior to this class, I felt confident and prepared for the final tests.I definitely recommend anyone interested in taking this firearms training course to take it with Joe!
