Peter you should resign! The do what you want and apologize later is an entitled position. You wanted to visit your granddaughter, well lots of us wanted to visit loved ones and we did not. Your disregard of the public health order/recommendations to not travel demonstrates poor decision-making, which is not a quality of a good leader.

People with inability to follow directives and have lapses in judgement" are not who I want to make decisions for my community.Elderly mothers and fathers die alone following Dr. Bonnie recommendations. You seeing your grandchild will not make a difference in "her" life. This was a purely selfish decision on your part that your granddaughter will be able to read about when she googles her grandpa 15 years from now.Please resign!!!"
