Aim Above Swim School

Aim Above is beyond amazing! We were really struggling for years and had tried several other highly recommended instruction schools but nothing worked. Our son had a major fear of putting his head under and getting face wet, . Sandra has been phenomenal, and we feel SO lucky that we found Aim Above, we know how important it is for kids to know how to swim! In the first few lessons, he goes under and is already swimming after only a few classes. We can't beileve our eyes, and I would give 10 stars if possible. Do not hesitate in booking with them, absolutely fantastic!

I was so pleased with our experience with our aim above swim instructor. My daughter is a beginner swimmer and in just five sessions she made tremendous gains. She now happily puts her face under the water and feels safe enough to jump into the pool with someone catching her. Our aim above swim instructor used fun and creative strategies to help our daughter feel safe and comfortable in the water, which gave her the confidence to try new things. I would highly recommend this swim school!

My five year old daughter learned more in a 30 minute private lesson that she did all summer with group lessons at the city of Toronto. The 1:1 instruction is 100% worth it, and she had a great time with Sandra. Absolutely would recommend to other parents who want their child to learn how to swim, or just improved their existing technique.

We started lessons with Aim Above Swim School for our two sons this summer and we could not be happier with the experience so far. It was fast and easy to book lessons and get started right away. Our Aim Above swim instructor is engaging, fun but firm, and committed to getting great results in the pool. Each session is well planned and efficient, and we've been amazed at how much progress our older son has been able to make in each session. Since the summer he's already passed 3 levels! She's equally capable with our toddler as she is with our older son, and has been extremely patient with him and easy-going about introducing him to swimming. She sings songs and plays with him and has slowly gotten him comfortable with putting his head in the water. She helps us to have realistic expectations, can get our easily-distracted kids to FOCUS, is professional and punctual, and I can't imagine letting anyone else teach our kids to swim. She is such a positive presence in our lives and our kids talk about her even when we're not swimming - they love her and are learning so so so much, what more could we ask for!?!? We love Aim Above and so will you!

We have used Aim Above Swim School for the past two years in a row for at-home lessons for our three kids, 6, 5 and 5. We contacted them after using a different business the first year we decided to initiate lessons; the first business would not return my calls regarding lessons that were not delivered.Aim Above has been great with our kids; one of our kids in particular was very hesitant to even get his face wet the first year, and this year he is jumping into the pool with no hesitation! He likes to show us the techniques that the instructor showed him and he can swim across the pool now. Our older kid has learned front crawl. They have learned to tread water, which makes me feel better about their capabilities in the pool.The instructor is very personable and has been great at responding to messages. etc. in a timely manner. She encourages the kids to push themselves and try hard.Highly recommend.

Aim Above Swim School is an excellent place to hone your swimming skills! Sandra is a fantastic instructor who helped me go from a swimmer with very little front crawl technique to an intermediate level. My husband and I took 10 lessons with Sandra and split the lessons in half. She catered my lessons to my goals, which was to improve my technique with a goal of doing my first (try-a-tri) triathlon. I recommend Aim Above to anyone who is trying to take their technique to the next level!

This past summer was our first time using Aim Above Swim School for our two boys and we were highly impressed with the level of instruction, rate of progression and positive experience they received from their swim instructor. The boys each participated in a series of 10 private in-home swimming lessons, which they loved. Our nine year old passed two levels, started at 4 and is now working on level 6. Our six year old started at level 1 and is now working on level 4, having passed 3 levels. The boys are much more comfortable now in the water and their swimming technique has greatly improved from previous lessons taken elsewhere. We would highly recommend using this swim school.

This has been a great experience for us as parents and for our daughter Natalia, who, initially a non swimmer, passed level 5 after 30 classes, 2 times per week. This was possible with the dedication and passion that our Aim Above instructor puts in her work, combined with skills and a real ability to connect with children and not only.We look forward to continue with swimming classes as soon as possible and we are thankful for such a professional and empathetic instructor.

The Etobicoke Aim Above Swim School has been wonderful for my 4 year old daughter. Her instructor was able to form a good bond with her and make her feel comfortable in the water. She went from not wanting to put her head under to jumping in the deep-end and swimming all the way to the shallow-end. We will be signing up for more lessons next summer.

When I contacted Aim Above, I was absolutely terrified of water and had zero swimming ability whatsoever. I tried public beginner's lessons but even those were too advanced for me, that's how bad I was.My Aim Above instructor helped me overcome my inhibition and had me floating on my face – something I'd never done before – about 30 minutes into the first lesson!I can now get across the pool without stopping, tread water for several minutes, and safely get into a recovery position if I need to – an incredible transformation from not even wanting to put my face in the water when I started.My instructor has been so patient with me the whole way, even when I get stuck on something that seems so basic. She's a natural teacher and has helped me learn even though I'm not a natural swimmer!Can't recommend Aim Above enough and look forward to honing my skills further with them.
