Udo Kohrmann constructed a beautiful stone fireplace this past September at my Larrimac cottage. We started with a new airtight steel fireplace unit with a glass door supplied by Pierre Potvin of Chelsea Chimney.Udo built the insulated frame and guided me through the choice of natural stone to the correct scale and texture. The result was outstanding. Everyone who has seen my new fireplace is very complimentary. Udo is one of nature's gentlemen, one of those old-school craftsmen who takes pride in his work. He was helpful at every stage of the project. His meticulous craftsmanship and superb design sense made the project a pleasure to see unfold.I would recommend him to anyone who values excellence in fine design, loves natural materials such as wood and stone and refuses to compromise on quality.

Keystone Ceramics built our fireplace and finished the exterior of our chimney with thin cut natural stone. The end product is of very high quality, artistic and timeless. Udo really took the time to make sure that the aesthetics were right in placing each stone with colour and size in mind. We never tire of admiring the fireplace. Udo is a conscientious worker, friendly and keeps his job site clean. He is the tradesperson that you want on your job. I cannot recommend Udo and Keystone highly enough.
