If you feel the need to live in squalor, this just might be your dream come true. The entire hotel is in disrepair and I doubt it is up to either electrical or health code. Every time you set foot out of the door, expect to be panhandled. I would give zero stars if I could.The view of the river is spectacular. I would think a decent full service hotel on the location would do well.

Sheridan Lawrence inn was by far one of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. No one in the office when I wanted to check out or get toiletries. The women’s bathroom in the pub was disgusting! There was a broken toilet that had no door causing it to smell so bad. The doors didn’t completely close. The only good thing about it was the bartenders. They were very friendly, funny and easy to get a long with. And it said there was a restaurant but when I went it was closed down.

Took 3 days and numerous phone tag calls to book the room. The person who makes reservations not available when I called on two different afternoons. Towels had blood and other unidentified stains. Replacement towels were also stained. Drunks in adjacent room had loud fight at 03:00am.

I wish someone would build a new hotel in fort vermilion cause it’s time for this one to call it quits. It use to be not bad but it’s not worth the cost now ($115 a night). The rooms are clean but dated. The wifi doesn’t work unless to stand in the hall on the first floor by the room they are in. Foods not bad. I will start staying at La Crete, the hotels are newer and the cost is about the same.

I booked this hotel for one of my coworkers, there was a big party on his floor and he couldn't find anyone at the front desk so he left the hotel in the middle of the night. Both he and I called the hotel non-stop the next morning to check him out of the hotel but we were unable to reach the front desk. When I finally spoke to someone later the next day, I was told the charges for the unused nights would be refunded but I was still charged for 3 nights. I won't be booking anyone into this hotel again.

Very nice staff.I dropped by to to the hotel on my bike and asked for maps of Fort Vermillion and local attraction listings.They did not have any left so they used copier and provided all what i needed and gave it to me for free.Very pleasant...I went for coffee there as well and was told that the coffee is free.Fort vermillion is lovely place with simple great campground with showers just few hundreds meters from the hotel. Register at the golf clubhouse...very inexpensive rates if you camp.

I'd say it's a 2 star hotel, unfortunately. The mattress is good enough but the sheets and blankets are not soft, they are uncomfortable.Because this is a 2 star they didn't provide a hair dryer or clothes iron and board.

The staff ate friendly and easy to get along with. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, air is very dry and the heat control in the rooms doesnt work very good. I woke up multiple times sweating. I would not recommend this hotel. You are much better off staying in La Crete

Was working in town and stayed here. The place is pretty dated as one can expect. Wifi was not consistent but worked for the most part. Check in was easy and fast. Same goes for check out. Not much options in town for food so I tried the attached restaurant and it was fine. For just one night it was okay
