Very happy with our system. Exceeding our expectations for output. Don and his team are super responsive. Return calls and text the same day. Would recommend Solar King should you be considering a system for your home.

Please read full Review...When I first spoke to Don I was very apprehensive as I did not know him or his solar panel installation company. I did my homework and even called the Better Business Bureau. They had no negative reviews on Don or Solar King. I was not sure if I could trust him with the thousands that it was going to cost to put up the solar panels. After calling and getting quotes from 5 or 6 different solar panel installers, Don and Solar King beat them all and gave the best quote. I decided to go ahead and have Solar King install my panels. In April of 2018 Don and his company installed my solar panels system. I will say it did take some time between the down payment and the day of installation, however this was in no way fault of Solar King. After the delivery of the panels Don called every few days to see if my roof was clear and ready for the install. On the day of the install a snow storm hit most of Michigan. Don's residence received 6 inches of snow, leading to him calling and apologizing for not being able to put the panels up due to having snow on the roof. Let's just say as soon as the snow melted, I had my solar panels on my roof. I was so impressed with the workmanship and professionalism of Solar King. Two months later I had them come back and install seven more panels. I would recommend and have recommended Solar King to any one. I have gave Solar King Permission to use me as a reference. It has been about one year since I had my panels installed and I have saved over 95% on electricity cost, the exact amount Don said I would save. Thank you Don and Solar King. Everyone who I interacted with was nice and friendly, especially the installers who were great in explaining some of the details. My parents installed solar panels this past spring (March 2019). After meeting with several companies we decided to work with Solar King. Their sales rep was very knowledgeable and low pressure. He showed us several options and made sure we understood the process and how all the equipment worked. It has been 6 months since the system was turned on and it had exceed their expecitations. Alex, Don, and the installers were great. We would highly recommend them and have to neighbors and friends.

I asked Solar King to quote a 20 kilowatt solar panel install (residential, on the ground, 58 panels) along with 2 other solar installation companies. Solar King was not the cheapest, but I am glad I went with Solar King - they did an excellent job with a large project and have done a great job in following up on one bad part. I will add that Don King, owner of Solar King did not say anything bad about the two other companies (both significant installers themselves) and was actually complimentary towards the work these two competitors did. That sold me on his integrity.The system works great - we've been generating savings (over $1,300 as of today) from the beginning of May through yesterday, and am now running a credit with Consumers Energy.

Solar King did a solid job. There were definitely some bumps in the road, including a site plan that initially did not accurately reflect our roof pitch. The project took nearly 6 months to complete; most of these delays were related to a slow permitting process rather than problems with SK. The price was very competitive and I felt good about the quality of the electrical contractor. The project passed inspection on the first try. I don’t have a means of comparison, but Solar King got the job done and I’m grateful for that. Now we are saving money and reducing our impact on the environment.

It has been a pleasure working with Solar King. We were referred to them by several coworkers who were all very satisfied. The Solar King team takes care of the entire process, and there is nothing to do as the house owner.The electrical production after a few months is exactly as predicted. I recently had a small question to resolve with the electrical company: Don answered during the weekend and had it resolved by Monday afternoon.I highly recommend Solar King.

I had a great experience with Solar King.Alex N. was great to work with in the planning and quotation phase. He answered all my questions promptly and worked with me to address my concerns regarding installing the solar panels on our house's metal shingle roof.The install took longer than expected due to covid but once the panels arrived, the Solar King crew was able to install within a day. We ran into an issue where I had no internet connectivity to the inverter in the basement but the Solar King team fixed the issue via a powerline ethernet extender the same day.Working with Solar King was a pleasure, I didn't feel pressured through the process and they were very knowledgeable and competitive with the other companies I contacted.They are going to be first on my list when I decide to add a battery backup and expand my system.

My family and I were very happy to have had the opportunity to work with Solar King. We did a great deal of research prior to deciding to install solar panels and found that Solar King was able to provide the best value for products/services offered and had extensive knowledge/experience in the industry. We received excellent service from everyone involved with the process to include their sales representative, project manager, installation team, electrician, and - of course - Don King himself who reached out to us to ensure they were meeting our needs. They communicated well throughout the project, offered suggestions when needed, and were patient with us as we made our decision (no high pressure sales tactics). I would definitely recommend their services for anyone interested in investing in solar energy.
