Didn’t like the vibe of the staff here. Receptionist are better than you. I didn’t feel welcomed, Covid also played a role in it. I couldn’t have my partner with me for appointments. They seemed just too busy to care and bouncing back from room to room and leaving me there waiting forevvvvverr…..I’m glad I found another doctor that took good care of me at mac.

Was transferred to her care while at McMaster from midwife. She was wonderful. She was with other OB plus midwife then team from neonatal. Was worried about being pushed to C-section but was able to deliver vaginally. Would do it again through Mac.

I loved my experience with Dr. Sciarra and highly recommend her to other expecting mothers as their provider and caregiver. She is very professional but also personable and prompt with her appointment times. Waiting is typically very minimal and the office is kept in good condition. Dr. Sciarra was able to assess that at 39 weeks along my daughter had flipped into the breech position, wherein she immediately informed McMaster to confirm via ultrasound, and then had me scheduled for a C-section at the next available time slot. Dr. Sciarra put my mind at ease leading up to the procedure, as I am a first time mom and had planned on having my daughter naturally, and performed the C-section herself. I had previously heard that Dr. Sciarra is one of the best when it comes to C-sections and I have to admit that she did not disappoint! My incision was stitched up beautifully and I was able to return home after two nights in the hospital. Again, I would definitely recommend her to any other expectant mom and I will of course be going to her again with future pregnancies.

Dr. Sciarra delivered 3 of our 4 children via csection and in March 2018, God sparing, she will deliver our next bundle. She's an excellent doctor. Friendly and her office staff are very professional.

After 16 months of having my baby this review follows- i was originally referred to dr sciarra, i saw her once and then her associate the rest of my pregnancy. I wish there was consistency and more attention to the mother as a person and not just her baby. Dr chen did my c section and dr sciarra did my follow up. I truly believe the same dr should have done both. I ended up needing a blood transfusion, 2x the original dose bc 3 doctors in the hospital couldnt agree with each other. I was gaining weight more than i should have and had preterm labour, no one mentioned preeclampsia. My blood pressure was in the 150’s and they just told me to watch it. Very very low quality care. The 6 week follow up was definitely a 1 star. Not once was i asked how i felt, lactation consultant was not mentioned and this was over the phone. A physical exam and belly touch to check for diastasis recti was needed. I do not recommend this place. 1 woman at reception (dont know name - brown hair w glasses) was very rude. Have a home birth with a midwife, youre better off.

Didn't care about her patient, ignored early signs of problems and things ended very badly.If you want to have a good pregnancy, do not go to this doctor!

She truly is an amazing doctor ! My daughter is turning 7 and my son is 4. Sciarra was there through both pregnancies ( at her office ). Both deliveries ( at Mac ) and continues to be my Gynecologist at Jerivinski for cervical issues.. HOW this women is always there when I need her (in three places at once) is beyond me!! Koodos to Dr.Sciarra, you are absolutely great at your profession! My family and I appreciate you more than you will ever know!
