Otter Co-op Aldergrove Feed Store

Great renovation ~ bright and open! Otter Co--op offers a wide variety of goods including hardware, clothing, gift ware, decor, toys and a pharmacy. Staff has always been kind and helpful. There is a lot of parking and easily accessible. I find all the prices to be very reasonable. They now have an amazing flagship liquor store! Features one of the largest walk-in beer coolers in BC filled with local brews and favorites!

Process are reasonable, and one of the only feed stores open on Sundays. Considerably more limited variety of equestrian feeds & supplements compared to many other locations and other feed stores, but usually has the basics in a pinch.

While I've shopped at the main store and the gas bar for years (dare I say, decades) I'd never been into the feed store until last August when I started raising chickens and needed feed. They offer a discount for 10+ bags and the people load it into the truck for me. As with the staff in the store, I find the staff in the feed store friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer to a question, they know who to ask to get an answer. I find their prices competitive to other stores and, they make a lot of the feed on site. Buying local is always best.

The store was incredibly accommodating we needed an impromptu pallet of food for our hens the store requires 3 days notice ahead of time for large orders such as that unaware of that they still allowed us to purchase the pallet. Incredibly polite staff and very friendly and helpful workers I really wish I could give it 10 Stars whether it's food or fuel this place is awesome and I had a blast. The corn and various grain also being worked on here on a small note smells incredibly delicious.

I would be very careful about this feed company and their commitment to the well being of animals ,After a year of purchasing feed from them ,for my ostrich farm , they suddenly , with no notice , stopped carrying Or supplying the type of feed that i required,when i decided to use them as my supplier , it was because of the availability and that they would be able to supply on a regular basis !As there are limited suppliers of this type of feed this was a very important decision that i made to go with the otter co-op feeds ,As they are well aware of the limited number of suppliers of ostrich feed , as well as a small number of producers that depend on their supply , I find it very irresponsible to just cut off the supply on virtually a moments notice , IE: when you reorder!Being told that we aren’t making it anymore ! Leaving my animals without feed in the week to come and the weeks to follow until i can secure a supply from another feed company ,Their reply to me is to feed poultry feed ! Ostriches are not poultry , they are a ratite family ,I prefer to feed my animals the proper nutritional requirements as necessary for their species !Irregardless i feel that this company has been very irresponsible in this matter and not considered the well being of my animals and other ostrich growers that rely on this feed , And their poor judgement to not inform customers of this decision ,A proper amount of time should have been given to inform customers about their decision to no longer carry the ratite feed in their line !It can be very detrimental to an animal to suddenly switch feed , particularly one that is not nutritionally specific to them!

For my first visited so pretty impressed with the service with fast and friendly. Nice store which clean and well organized. So this will be our store from now on to get supplies we need

If you're deliver bulk feed here, best try to call ahead for a good delivery time. It's a mill on a postage stamp. But the staff is pretty solid. They'll do what they can to expedite things.

They really know what they’re doing here. If they don’t have an item they can source it for a customer, and they are a coop - our cash back rewards each year are a lovely bonus. Definitely get a membership if you have animals or a business, it’s free to join.
