Good service but without the high overheads of dealer facilities. Can also handle less mainstream vehicles, in my case they have serviced vehicles as different as a 1975 Mercedes 450 SL and a modern Toyota Prius. I've also had this place recommended by other service facilities that are not equipped to do much more that oil and filter type servicing.

Called them today and asked if I could bring in my car to have the front rotors and brakes replaced. They took me in right away and had my car back to me a couple hours later. Excellent service and reasonable prices, won't charge you an arm and a leg. Will definitely bring my car here again.

I had a strange experience with Atkins Auto. I figured since it was a locally owned mechanic and I knew the family that the service would be great. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case.I brought my truck in for repairs, they had a look, quoted me, fixed some stuff but said they needed to order the part. Great. I waited about 1-2 weeks without any update at all. When I called them they said the part was in back order, ok. Fast forward to the present (over 6 months later) and several calls, they still have not called me to get the work done. At one point they said that dodge sent the wrong part. I assume they never wanted to do the work in the first place, since every time I drive by they seem to have their hot rods on the hoist…Next time instead of excuses you should just say you’re too busy at least, instead of making me wait months to get my truck fixed when I would have gone somewhere else sooner.Another time prior to my truck,I brought my car in for some repairs, actually I had my car towed in for repairs. Their turnaround time was okay. When I got my car back the main issue was fixed but it came back with another issue, the metal wire that attached the door latch to the handle of my door had snapped. I took my door apart and it looked like it has been cut clean off. Not accusing Chris or any of his guys for this, however when I called him he said it came in like that… but he never called me to ask if I wanted it fixed, or to even notify me that they had received it in this condition.

Atkins Auto is where I come for all my automotive needs. It is a family owned business, conviently located off the main strip in the historic core. Chris the co-owner and chief mechanic has a wealth of knowledge and experience on every type of vehicle you can imagine. Repairs; maintenance; fabrication, they have you covered. Bring your daily, your winter beater, exotic, or historic racer and they will get you sorted out and back on the road or track. What I enjoy most is the passion Chris and the other mechanics have for cars and motoring. Its a great place to chat about cars with other like minded enthusiasts. The location is perfect for you to enjoy the downtown shops, cafes, and restaurants while you wait. Atkins also cares about the next generation of mechanics and works with local schools to provide opportunities for co-op students. A friend of mine was grateful for the encouraging environment and oppurtunity afforded her to pursue her career as a mechanic when she joined the Atkins team. Too many positives to list in a review. Give them a try.

No shop more honest then these people, I take my Shelby to them that’s how good this place is. Well there service all my vehicles. Rates are great also.

They don't pick up their phone. I've called about 6 times in the last week on multiple days and no response. When someone finally called me back, I requested my quote to be emailed and this wasn't done. Not sure how they stay in business with this type of customer service.
